I looked at So Alab. Their points scored L2 is among the most of any team in L30 years. Should have some success vs LSU defense.
...Note: QB Lopez missed the game they lost @OhioU. Their offense exploded after he came back.
...My only hesitation is that I missed that peak # at +21.5/+22.

I think LSU could weigh heavy on USA's line, on both sides of the ball, but 20.5 is a lot of points. When you have the ability to score a lot of points.

Jack, I'll be watching your Tide today. Fascinating game. First off, Dawgs have not conceded a TD in 3 games.

They played running clock in the game vs TENN Tech. So, that margin would have been wider.

I do think the DeBoer factor matters in this game. Smart has his program in place. Alab has at least some transition in personnel and coaching staff.

On paper it SHOULD be a Dawg win based on the program. If DeBoer can beat Smart right off the bat, then he's well ahead of what I expected. Also, I don't put a lot of stock on Alab beating a bad Wisky team (after the QB got knocked out early).

Yes, Sluka is a good runner. He had one SUPER-lucky TD pass on the last play of the 1st half vs Kansas.

Reviewing some Week 04 boxscores. Who played? And who didn't play?

*Old Dom. QB Wilson actually started (to my surprise). He helped the Monarchs build a lead. He didn't finish. Wilson knocked out again?

*NC St. QB McCall did not play. Wolfpack won with Bailey.

*Utah. The weekly Rising drama. He was expected to play this week. Rising didn't play, Utes lost with Wilson @ Qb.

*Bost Coll. QB Castellanos missed. Backup QB played and won by one pt.

*Charlotte. Top QB Brown out. Backup Purdie started, he split time with 3rd-stringer and led 49ers to one-point win.

*Stanford. QB Daniels started and threw three costly INTs. Took a rib-shot and departed in 2nd half.

*North Carolina. Starting QB Johnson is out. HC Brown had been using Harrell with Criswell. Criswell goes the whole way, Heels lose by 1.

*Kent St. Down top two QBs. Does it matter? 3rd qb Ulatowski had a good game in defeat.

*Marshall. QB Earle departed last game (with cramps). Speculation that he would miss. He played and led Herd to 7-point win.

*Michigan. QB Orji has taken over. No sign of Warren. Another anemic passing effort: 10/18, 86 yards. Why does MICH even bother to throw?

*UNLV. QB Sluka leaves the team. Did they miss him? Backup Williams 13/16 passing (3 TD) and 119 yards rushing. UNLV rolls, 59-14.

*Ohio U. Some speculation that QB Navarro might miss. But he played.

*Texas. Word that Ewers could possibly return. He missed, was in street-clothes. Manning started again, led Horns to a choppy win.
