Tyreek Hill detained on way to the game
Was about to hammer Jaylen Waddle over receiving props but apparently Hill's still going to play.

You got to think they must have improperly arrested him. How could he be released/play a few hours later unless they had nothing on him. I'm sure we will hear more but if it was just for a traffic violation, they are fukked.

As someone who grew up in Florida, I know that football trumps the law, so it is more likely that Hill was doing some serious shyt and before the coppers knew he was a needed football dude for Miami, they cuffed his ass and where getting ready to cart his ass off. Simple traffic citations don't typically end like that. I think they let him go and covered up whatever it was they had him on the ground cuffing him for,

Why do you think they had to cover up something? Does Hill have a criminal record? I know he had some issue with his baby mama (maybe his wife now?) and he got into it with a fishing boat captain but this guy hasn't been some career bad guy.
The cops said it was a moving violation entering the stadium. WTF is that? There is no excuse for cops to physically detain people for traffic citations.

BTW - The officer is now on administrative duty. Hill will most likely sue and settle with Dade county. These dumb ass cops are costing tax payers money with their stupidity.

Yeah, all of this is true that you say. Like I said, Football will trump the law in Florida. We will never know the true reason why they had his ass laying down on the hot Florida road outside the stadium.

Pumper - I played at UF and I can tell you that GPD and university police did zero favors for athletes and fraternities. It was the exact opposite. Oftentimes, those ass hats (short man complex) would go above and beyond the call of duty, trying to make a name for themselves. I was always a Gator fan, Maybe I'm way older than i care to admit, but a look at the Florida State program as ran by Bobby Bowden shows many examples, then a little later in maybe the early 80's, there was the Miami Hurricanes crew that was doing some shady shyt. Come to think of it, I remember some Gators getting in trouble a few years ago too. As the big 3 programs in the state, the Gators were always treated pretty badly. It may be something to do with that hick town Gainsville.

Free Shoes U may have gotten away with shit under Bowden. I heard the local police were on his payroll. Not sure about Miami. I think a lot may have to do with perception or maybe things like paying players under the table. I don't know of guys getting away with being lawbreakers though. Plenty of guys from all 3 teams got arrested through the years. Hell, you held your breath every Monday, hoping not to hear of a teammate getting pinched for some stupid shit. Our football team had a criminal defender on retainer. LOL

Calais Campbell says he was handcuffed, trying to defuse Tyreek Hill detainment

Miami Dolphins veteran edge rusher Calais Campbell, a winner of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, says he was also handcuffed by Miami-Dade police when he tried to defuse the detainment of receiver Tyreek Hill before Sunday’s season opener.

"I was driving to the game. The lane I’m in is blocked. I see Tyreek in handcuffs. I’d seen, I feel like excessive force, so I get out of the car to kind of just try to deescalate the situation and I think the officer just – I don’t know why he felt the need to put me in handcuffs, but I mean it is what it is," Campbell said during an interview after the Dolphins’ 20-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Hard Rock Stadium.

We can agree on that. I encourage everyone to record their own version of every encounter via a camera in the car, because they will just take your cell phone away. Having grown up in South Florida, I've had many run ins with the coppers and I can also tell you that the motor cycle coppers are the biggest dik smoochers out there.

                                          What an idiot.

And he wants to sue the police.

I can assure you, Tyreek, not cooperating with officers and with no drivers license and reckless speed is grounds for not just being cuffed, but tossed in a cell and stripped down and printed.

Policemen are supposed to enforce laws. Both the policemen involved and their union representatives cannot say which law required cooperation that Hill didn't abide with. That says quite a lot about their ability to do their jobs. Typical government workers.

Whatever happened to the good old days when players can snort a couple lines of coke, pick up a hooker and drive to the game. The cops wouldn’t pull them over but instead escort them to the game.

This happened in Miami!?! I mean if it was in Jacksonville, then I get it, but it was a home game and local cops need to support their local teams.

A lot of cops are just not happy with their lives. They have a shitty job, low pay and they see a guy with more money than they could dream of driving a sports car that cost more than what they'll make in a decade. Plus most cops are out of shape, couldn't finish a 60 yard dash, chugging 6 packs and donuts while Hill has 12 pack abs. Of course some are jealous as hell and use their one piece of power. Then they arrest an innocent bystander. WTF? That police department might as well cut Hill and Campbell a big fat check. Those dumb cops just cost them millions of dollars.
