franz55, appreciate you, eloquent write up's. I love pounding in game overs when it's obvious there are going to be many chances. The way the French were moving the ball just begged for results.

The Argentine conundrum is puzzling. Now there was a case when you thought Argentina was just going to extend their 1st half play & soar over in game totals themselves. I really think they didn't expect the physical play of the Saudi's & the crowd, wow the crowd! It was an NFL home team affect. I really think the Great Messi will drag that team to the knockout rounds.

Yes, these 5 AM starts in EST are challenging. Going to watch before I have to go to work. No work most days the next several weeks. Can't wait to watch this play out. I dig the times spacing, early games blend into afternoon, then nap time, then go about the day & then wash rinse & repeat, lol. Good Luck, will check daily on your write up's.

I have gone from wheel chair to walker to actually taking my own steps lately. So The World Cup has been a reason to get up and get excited each day. I work the games in around my physio sessions. That is freak’in wild man, airlifted to Univ of Munich. Top notch hospital for sure. I lived in Frankfurt for 3 years, made it up to Munich a few times. What happened man? Was it on the autobahn?

We were on a family trip to Croatia where we rented a beautiful house with 6 bedrooms , Pool and outside BBQ and Pizza oven. It was right on the Adriatic and we had our 3 sons , wives and grandkids there ( all of whom we hadnt seen since Covid ). After a fantastic week we were on our way back to Germany and only 2 minutes from my sons house. My wife had to go to the washroom so she asked my son if he had the house key . i took my seat belt off and reached for her purse. At that moment my son slammed on the brakes as a car ahead had suddenly stopped. I flew face first into the metal backing of his seat. It was a side hwy just outside Landshutt , a suburb of Munich , so we werent travelling at crazy speeds.

Germany are at the turning point of a youthful transition. Its been a nice run to watch the likes of Lahm , Ozil , Schweinsteigger , Klose , Podolski , etc , but that last W/C in 2018 was brutal. This years edition is strapped with young talent , similar to England 4 years ago. Are they ready to step it up as a whole ? England certainly has. They are going to be a team to reckon with for many years to come imo. Japan are a quality side , as their #24 RIFA ranking suggests. As a neutral participant looking at the heavy line i would pass. Cant do that

Japan were fairly good at keeping their shape 1st half. Unfortunately, they kept Germany at bay with 11 men behind the halfway mark , so attacks were limited from either. Its going to have to change for Japan 2nd half , as they need to open up to seek an equalizer. Think Germany gets enough chances to cover the #

I think Spain , when they play with some attack minded flair , are as good as anyone on this planet. They also tend to play tiki - taki football against teams that defend well ( Costa Rica do ). Its very slow paced and begs the opposition to come up field to open up. I will await the official line ups and formations to decide. Hoping Spain plays a more attacking style , then i will play the Over.
