Out of all the games, France has been the most kind to the eye. I mean they pass & move effortlessly. I think they roll.

Spain certainly looked the part as well. Judging the opposition , Brazil too

Argentina need this game to right the ship after their shocking loss to Saudi Arabia. Mexico are in position to guarantee advancement should they win over Argentina today. Argentina have made a couple of changes in their midfield today , and start with a more assertive 4-4-2 formation. I expect Argentina to press the issue from the outset , while Mexico look for a counter punch

Its very difficult to assess how good or bad Costa Rica really are since they rarely touched the ball vs Spain. What we did learn from that game is the amount of fatigue they showed having spent 90+ minutes chasing Spanish shadows. Japan possess some serious pace that Costa Rica are going to have trouble dealing with. I am counting on Japan for a minimum of 2 goals and hoping Costa Rica can snag one for the cover

The argument over who is the greatest player ever , or of this present era , will always divide the soccer masses. For me , Pele is the greatest to ever lace up a pair of football boots ( 1281 lifetime goals and 2nd place is less then 1/2 that total ). Messi will have a place in the ongoing debate as to who is 2nd all time , but i think he is by far the greatest player of his era. Not winning a World Cup should never be a factor since the game involves 10 other players on the pitch with him. An impressive finish to his World Cup career , starting today , would help solidify his place among the greats imo

It's not so much about "Will Arg win?"

They're very likely to get a result here. This MEXICO team isn't so good, and they're smallish.

It's more about how Arg sets themselves up for the final group stage game. Right now, this group is up for grabs.

Germany need to come away with at least a draw tomorrow. If i were neutral on that game 2.30 to 2.40 range for Spain would get hammered. May look at an over , but Germany's back line has been suspect for a while now. A team like Spain will be able to break them down.

I have to think Belgium's recent run of form is merely a blip in the big picture. They may have some players on the mend ( not sure Hazard is 100% ) but the depth on this team is the envy of most countries. Morocco limited Croatia's opportunities, especially in the 2nd half where they were on their heels throughout , but i didnt see any sort of attack that would suggest they could win. The price seems inflated based on Canada's hard fought effort against them , but people forget that Canada topped their group , beating both Mexico and USA. Perhaps they are a decent side when healthy
