I am going to be visiting Atlanta and Pavy in October, I can't wait to visit the area. I hear great things about the ATL.

ATL is a shithole, I hate the place. too many folks crammed into one city.
trying to drive in that clusterfvck is a nightmare
but than again I hate any big city.
I prefer the country and less populated areas, or any where on the gulf coast

This use to be a great place like back in the 80's but today even if you go to places like oakville,the Niagara region,Burlington and the entire inner ring suburbs south of the 407 or even when you go to Vaughan,Markham,Richmond hill trying to get away,you will see allot of the same element crawling in these regions as if you where in Scarborough(ever been to Brampton,birthplace of Wayne Greatsky?)
They have severe crime and street gang problems now in Barrie and collingwood??,go figure
If i was recommend anywhere around Toronto,maybe witchchurch-stouffville and center wellington maybe as good places "not too far"from T.O. where one might want to live. For myself bud as soon as i can: .i'm outta here!!!!

Do you have actual statistics that back up the claim of "severe crime" in Barrie and Collingwood? I think a lot of people in Canada grew up way, way too sheltered and have no idea what real crime is. I went to Detroit and they have bulletproof glass everywhere inside stores. Try finding a place in Ontario like that and maybe I will agree.

I lived in York Region (Richmond Hill specifically) for many years and there's absolutely nothing criminal going on ever. Ever.

I am proud to be Irish and all that but I do get bored of Ireland a lot of times. The only plus is the scenery and the fact that you have a pub and a bookie shop on every corner . I would like a change of 'scenery' though.
