Not overly keen living here in Florida, but I know there are way worse places.
How about you people?

I live in one of the most desired places to live in California. I am extremely happy living in Santa Barbara. It is expensive though.

I live right on the Gulf in FL, its a great place to live. Dodging the occasional hurricane is the only drawback.

I just got back home from AC. It's funny to see this post on the board, because I was so happy as I approached the end of the Bay Bridge and saw the lights of Chick's Beach on the horizon. After driving six hours through southern NJ, then shitty ass Delaware, then Maryland....Virginia Beach looked like a paradise to me. At home, I got out of my car and took a second to look around my sleepy suburban neighborhood. I literally took a deep breath of the clean sea air and thought about how nice it was to be back.
This place is mentioned in the top 1-20 places to live in national publications on a yearly basis. Yeah. I like where I reside.

We used to have a commercial about a dude on the beach saying Costa Rica wow! out loud, well, that's what I think, I just love it here regardless of all the problematic in the area, where I live in San Jose is pretty cool.

Spend all my time these days in Brooklyn, NY, where I have an apt. Quitting my job and going to be back home in my house in West Hartford, CT, week after next. Can't wait. Really like central CT -- really beautiful, easy place to live, IMO.

Fly,
doesn't cali. have some serious water issues?like as soon next year they will be FORCED water rationing impose by the state?
Aren't the locals already paying 900$ a month just for household water/electricity need?
Otherwise if this is not the case I am with you..
But how does one chooses between:
your S.B. OR Pacific Palisades-the entire encino/brentwood/glendale/woodland hills area-Carmel highland-marin county and finally the Nappa Valley?????.
If it wasn't for the water issue i would sell here in T.O. and run to Cali like now as in yesterday

Toronto is amazing if you know where to look.
This use to be a great place like back in the 80's but today even if you go to places like oakville, the Niagara region,Burlington and the entire inner ring suburbs south of the 407 or even when you go to Vaughan,Markham,Richmond hill trying to get away, you will see allot of the same element crawling in these regions as if you where in Scarborough(ever been to Brampton, birthplace of Wayne Greatsky?)
They have severe crime and street gang problems now in Barrie and collingwood??,go figure
If i was recommend anywhere around Toronto, maybe witchchurch-stouffville and center wellington maybe as good places "not too far"from T.O. where one might want to live. For myself bud as soon as i can: .i'm outta here!!!!

Minnesota is nice, but hate the winters. Both my wife and my family are here so we have lived here our whole life. Always thought about moving somewhere warmer in the future but not for a few years.

Yeap, SB is the place to be. Great weather, great food, and rhino bar with college girls.
