Love gambling downtown, has the old Vegas feel and better table odds. Strip is for the tourist who don't mind blackjacks paying 6/5, worst paying slots, craps with only 2x on free odds bets, and all of the fancy shops and restaraunts. Only place I like to gamble on the strip is the Casino Royale.

4Q is a throwback in a lot of ways, used to love the sportsbook at Tropicana for that reason, no frills. Kept the country club crowd out.

Crappy pic, but you get the idea. The early games had started, so the whole top portion was erased and the 10pm ET/7pm PT were re-written on the lower portion, right behind the ticket writer (!). Had to ask him to move to check the prices.

My Binion's FPDW hit as a bonus. This is my 2nd 4-deuces after hitting one at Mandalay Bay - waiting for the elusive RF, but I'm slightly up overall so I'm happy.

4Queens is a Cal-Neva book, same as Tuscany. Always ask for a print out of odds because sometimes the writers are either busy and/or lazy and don't update the board. BTW, that book has some of the best parlay, teaser, and pleaser odds in town. And they almost never scratch games off of their cards. So if a couple games move 1-1.5 points, there are some solid +EV opportunities there.

cankid, I like downtown very much. Wouldn't spend all my time here if I lived here though, the nearby poverty is kind of overwhelming and depressing. But yeah, the good numbers seem to hang around here.
