I agree. There is absolutely no downside to shopping around. You can always come back.

My only suggestion: give it a fair shot of at least a month or so. At first it will probably feel odd and unfamiliar. Give it a chance to get to know the lay of the land.

I am in the exact situation with a different (non-sports) forum. It's taken 2 months to get to a point of feeling like, "Okay, it will be good to be part of this. I'm glad I hung in there."

Its an attention seeking thing. It makes people feel good when all their friends on forum post gash like "please dont leave" etc etc...

If you dont like the place, jog on elsewhere. There are only about 20 posters max who people would miss anyways if they didnt announce it and just left.

I think Pete, as a poster to another, is asking guys to take the Pepsi challenge.

We understand where users are coming from when they talk about finding alternatives and actually appreciate it overall. It's how some show which things are the most important. We hope long time SBRers eventually realize that we are with em and are listening whether they leave or not. That's why some new things change fast. People said they had one foot out when we first released the BTP rules last year and a few years earlier when we added the live lines box at the top of the forum. Last month it was the poster video box on the right.
There aren't better posters anywhere and we know this is a forum we all built... like an open source project everyone is in on. It would be great if we could roll out ideas pleasing everyone and show the final product, but we need the group effort. On our end, we will put in the effort to keep the forum fresh with new features and try to find ways to keep it fun for everyone.
