I should have taken some video on our way out. It was dark at 8:30 am with ash and debris raining like snow. You could see the fire glow over the mountains to the east at night. We actually saw the rescue copters flying over and didn't realize what they were doing until watching the news last night.

Not sure if you are still working with what I assume is Cal Fire, but be safe if you are. The State is burning to the ground this weekend.

The horse had a previous 8f turf race and had a very nice trip. Looked very dominant and came in 1st. I kept wondering why the linesmaker had the horse at 10-1 on the M/L but sometimes they see things differently. I just decided to take a stand on that horse which in my estimation had a ton of value. Bettors bet the horse down to 9/2 so a lot of people saw the same thing. I have a long storied history betting the 5 horse so it was somewhat serendipitous. The 13 was just a lucky guess but I also liked the horses previous races - showed improvement every race and bred for turf.

There were 3 MBS races today but the two at Deleware had so many scratches I just decided to leave them alone. The 8th at Emerald Downs tonight has a nice field with the M/L fave being my play. Horse probably won't even go off at 8/5 but I will play the #4 horse for 10bucks to win.

There's also a late Pick 4 insurance special that I was messing around with, but the best card I could come up with was 48.00 and the insurance only pays back half of that assuming you only miss one leg. It's at Canterbury R8-11. I just didn't feel like any of the races had a horse you could circle so the price starts to get prohibitive.
