Sierra fire is a monster. Creating it's own weather....watching it on the radar.. worked out of the minarets station years ago... Hate to see it burn

All the dead trees from the bark beetle are providing a ton of fuel. I'm honestly surprised this area hasn't been burnt worse. We're up in Bass Lake and nobody seems too concerned. Going to bail in the morning unless they evacuate sooner.

actually was at bass lake a few years ago when when the removal of the copper forest was in full swing.. fire is working it's way thru cascadel. Get your stuff together......sooner rather than later.
