I am on the 5 at Del Mar #4

This is another one of those 2yo maiden races that could go to a 20-1 shot or just be chalk city. I tend to favor the horses that have gone the distance and have performed. Then look at trainer jock combos and then look at post position. The 5 placed in her first 8f race and drew the exact same post position for this race. Plus I just love the 5 for superstitious reasons.

The 2 is an interesting long shot using the same criteria. I'm sure there are a ton of other angles I am not seeing.

#2 is the first California Chrome horse to make it to the races, finished well in the debut at Emerald. Any improvement could make that one tough.

#9 I'm considering. Dam was a good miler in Ireland and the 2nd time out for this one also could turn the light bulb on.

Thank you. It was more luck than skill, lol. It was 8-1 going in the gate and dropped to 6-1 when the gate opened. I still won't be mad at 14.20.

#11 Ivy League and #6 Canoodling. #6 taking a lot of money in early betting is I'm not as thrilled with that one at 9/2 as I was at 8-1. #6 beat #11 in their debut but it took a perfect trip. #11 was favored in that one and also Rispolli retains the ride which is a great sign.
