Thanks for pointing out that I din't mention the health care system in my earlier post. I shall do so in this post.

The heavy burden on the health care system due to the "Left it Fly" strategy coined by the Dr. Faucci, is the correct decision even though he himself doesn't tout it. The burden on the healthcare system is an issue that will be taken care of by the private capitalist system. Hey I get it, my life sucks too, but to say we placed a heavy burden on the people who willingly choose to take care of the sick is just an excuse. I'm a slurry pumping engineer, and if a disaster in the world occurred which required me to step up and perform in my chosen occupation, I would like to have the chance to be the hero. Actually there are 2 instances in history that I believe I could have been of great help in the slurry pumping field of life that would have aided in the ease of suffering to our fellow man. It pains me to say that the idea of having an entire metro packed city named New Orleans protected with large pumps located in low lying areas is probably not a good idea. The placement of said pumps below the level of the sea was obviously a decision not made by me. It is the best place to place a non essential life saving device because of pump priming concerns and cost. As someone who has engineered several de-watering pumps for mines knows, if you let the water come in to the mine at such a rate as to overwhelm your capabilities to pump out the water, you're fukked. Same thing happened in Japan with the nuclear plant. They went cheap on the safety device knowing the tidal wave and earth quake proclivity in an arrogant decision to save a couple of bucks. I could have fixed both disasters before the event ever occurred, and could have had a contingency plan for the event even afterwards but was never given the chance.
Medical professionals now have the chance to step up in life and be a hero. Complaining about how overwhelmed they are just doesn't cut it. The entire system can expand to accommodate the needs of the people. That's how the capitalist system works. The healthcare system has had several months at this point to get their shyt together. People just can't sit by and wait anymore we need to continue with our lives. If other lives can't overcome the virus, that is the way nature is, it is called evolution, or some would say science. Unless we all just drop dead after breathing in this thing for a couple of seconds, we will have to get on with life and deal with it and many other dangerous things as an everyday fact of life.

Thanks for the post. However, overwhelming a health care system is not a smart decision any time. Hospitals need to provide us with the best care possible. I am sure we would both expect the best care if one of us or a loved one was in a hospital. I agree we need to get back to the norm. We just need to be smart about it. The coronavirus is still 6x to 9x more deadlier than the flu. The 1918 H1N1 flu pandemic that killed approx 675,000 Americans was hit the hardest in the second wave, approx 195,000 people died in just the month of October in 1918. You can eliminate it by ensuring that everyone that has it DOES NOT infect anyone until they recover. The challenge is that many people don’t know they have it. The ONLY thing that will work is a TOTAL shutdown for 2 to 3 weeks. Zero contact with anyone not in your household. No one go outside, no grocery stores or fast food places. A complete shutdown. Those that are sick will recover and the virus is dead, gone, at least until we let someone in the country who’s infected.

Chris Cuomo had it for 17 days before his wife got it. So it was in their home for more than 3 weeks. That wouldn't solve it. All it takes is one infected person in 330 million to start it back up again

Basically a 500K of dead doesn't justify shutting down the world. It just doesn't. Truth be told all life is not precious and death is part of nature everyday. With 7 billion in the world, this plandemic doesn't even start to thin the herd. What will thin the herd is the economic aftermath of shutting down the world's economies and expecting them to just start right up afterwards with no ill effects. 10 years from now we will all (the ones who didn't die ) sit back and laugh at how the virus killed 2 million world wide, but the actions of governments killed 10 million. It will be good times and it will be called the good ole days. White guys like me will be able to claim that we were oppressed and we need reparations from the systematic racism brought on against us.

It is kind of catch 22 or a sacrifice. The 660,000+ world wide coronavirus deaths so far is the result of shutdowns, closings, isolating, distancing and other protective measures. Fortunately we will never know how many more people would have died by the coronavirus in such a short period. The current USA 150,000+ coronavirus deaths would have been likely extremely higher. If the USA gets a second wave it could be devastating. That's why reasonable safety measures are still necessary. In 1918 the first wave of the flu pandemic was relatively minor in the USA through protective measures taken. Then leaders took away most protective measures, the second wave came devastating the country. Although, it is a fact that we will all die one day, the smartest solution is still too acknowledge problems and then try to rectify them. The world is still in pandemic mode, no matter what one believes.

I'd say in grocery stores the past couple weeks 50 to 60% of people are wearing masks but outside of that is still very low.
