You can eliminate it by ensuring that everyone that has it DOES NOT infect anyone until they recover. The challenge is that many people don’t know they have it. The ONLY thing that will work is a TOTAL shutdown for 2 to 3 weeks. Zero contact with anyone not in your household. No one go outside, no grocery stores or fast food places. A complete shutdown. Those that are sick will recover and the virus is dead, gone, at least until we let someone in the country who’s infected.

If someone tests positive one week and does the following week as well they count it as 2 cases , even though it is one person and the same case

I don’t know anyone that died from a heart attack since March but I personally know 3 people who have died from Covid. Plus, just because more people die by other means doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do anything to reduce these deaths. 1 million dead people may not seem a lot to you but it wouldn’t matter if just 1 was someone close to you.
