Most of the people getting it now are also younger. Elder people have been locked indoors.

I still want to see what deaths look like in a few weeks. We're diagnosing earlier so the apparent timescale from infection to death is longer. Probably not going back to 2,000 deaths/day, but I bet we start seeing over 1,000/day later this month. It still isn't "just the flu" and there's still to much we don't know, including the long-term damage on survivors.

This is still serious though. You cannot look at current death rate in context of current cases. Lag time is 3-6 weeks. Current deaths are measuring the trough of cases from early June. Deaths are gonna spike again within 2-3 weeks.
