Let's assume this is true. 538 has Biden as an 87% favorite. The Books have Biden at roughly 64% depending on the Book. That's a significant difference but I don't think it means you can disregard the polls entirely. I'm not saying they are perfect by any means but I don't think you can ignore them entirely.

If Trump was doing great in the Polls right now it would be mentioned every 12 seconds on FOX News and Trump would remind us how great he was doing at least 6 times a day and his supporters would mention it in every other post. But since it doesn't match your opinion, you think they can be ignored entirely.

I don't think the Books have forgotten about the last election. I think their line has been adjusted and it's much sharper in 2020 than it was in 2016.

Look at the Voter Turnout prices below from BetOnline and compare those numbers with the last voter turnout. This is a whole new ball game. In 2016 there wasn't nearly as many people paying attention. Voter turnout is going do Trump in and he knows it.

I think there is a reasonable argument that the pollsters might be being extra conservative in publishing the Biden lead. At this point Trump would need an error greater than 2016 to win. If there is another major swing state error that effects the election like in 2016, the polling industry is finished. I suspect the Biden lead in PA, WI, and MI is understated.

In 2016 Sussanha did a poll in Pennsylvania talking to people that came back Hillary +8, they then did the same poll using robincalls and it came back trump +2, people lie to pollsters.

I do not trust Robocall polls because they are not allowed to call cell phones, only land lines. These land line owners tend to be much older and own their homes.
