Martin is 8-3 with a 2.66 ERA at Syracuse. Not bad but we find it extremely hard to recommend any pitcher for the Nationals, let alone someone making their big league debut. Although he's likely to start twice during Week 16 (July 20-26), don't use him in anything but the deepest of NL-only formats.

I looked into this game a little bit also. Hernandez is 2-0 against the Nats this year, but the Mets are in a pretty bad slump of their own.

If the Nats get to Livan with a couple runs im not sure the Mets can produce enough runs to win, even with the horrible defense/pitching of the Nats...

Regardless, at +115 I cant resist.

The current Mets starting lineup is the worst in baseball. I think Pujols has twice the number of home runs than the entire Mets starting lineup combined. The Mets suck right now.

Against a team that has 1 win in its last 11 games?
Against a team that is incapable of maintaining/building on a lead?

The Nationals will find a way to lose this game, I have seen it time and time again.

Get used to it - Nats will be favored in at least 5/7 games this week, and maybe 6 if Stammen's small chalk over Pelfrey on Wednesday, although NYM could easily be a slight road fave in that one.

Even with Hernandez throwing a good game the Mets can't score enough runs. The line up is depleted. They may win a 3-2 game but they can easily lose it the same way.

Compared to the big bettors on here I say I'm broke. My average bet on a BB game is only around $20. So yeah I'm chump change. I wish that I had the discipline to only fade the nats but I bet other games too. So I'm building a bankroll. When you start with nothing it takes a while to build it into something.

well goodluck for you in the future. discipline is the key to surviving long term. See i used to drink every night for years but now i only drink on saturday nights. it took me awhile to find that discipline. as far as betting goes i have bet on maybe 5-6 baseball game sthis season so far and maybe 2-3 more left. the books have baseball down to a t. your better off fading the nats only.

MAJOR: is this a trap though? Why is the Under 9 at +110!? All the trends point to the under and Hernandez simply owns the Nats. Despite his recent struggles there is no way he gives up more than 3 ER's in 7. Two teams that can't hit and the Nats prospect looks good!
