I remember way back on this forum before there was an internet, we would have to mail each other messages. Man was it slow, forget having an in-game thread. You young whipper snappers have it easy.

when the forum used to actually be usefull people posting there picks and people actually talking about why they were picking the game, at the time the spreadsheet was just getting started and the video boom began to start, this was when dave was dave was still usckingsfan, u no when he actually used to lurk aorund giving advice and picks. now what do you have? you have JJ gold all focking depressed wishing under a tree, you have nothing but sarcastic shits that run away most all new posters with arogance, any pick that gets posted all people do is bash, forum has really hit a low, gets harder to look at everyday. video quality is jsut horrible, remember the classic vegas dave videos impersoanting JJ, or JJ calling dave a stiff, how about nickys how to handicapp the proper way, many other classics, now there all garbage, were reduced to hearing JJ shouts out names for 10 minutes str8, why not jsut read the active members list and skip the video,

I know what you mean my man,when i join in aug.2007 this place was just great than a gang of pukes and douche bags descended on SBR like Flies on Sh*t.
However this forum is so great that it has manage to survive them,it is slowly coming back.

SBR forum is very systematic:

1) Code of silence about what works. (among small group)
2) Drinks on the house to make people forget what they came for. (big crowd)

In my approx 6 months of helping here, I notice a real refreshing difference that will help SBR more so than anything else and we are all seeing it transpire. SBR worries mostly about SBR's business and that mentality is paying off nice dividends in my opinion.

Every year a new project comes to life starting with SBRLines and ThePrick's contest, SBRForum, SBRVideo and so on. This year a really great project will bring hard core capping to a fun new level. Some have said it is SBR's answer to Covers Wagerline but it is much much more.

The forum changes like the weather and you cant control who is there or what they post. But you can build great new products that are useful and fun to participate in, more so when the forum is having a rainy day.
