I think many of us have no wills..........stupid of us.

any man over the age of 30 should have a will, esp if he is married, and double especially if he has kids.................another way to go is just have a living trust

steve's other 2 children will be taken care of.............their mother has to file a petition, they will be proven or maybe have already been proven to be his kids..............they will be taken care of until age 18........the other children's mother will not be taken care of unless she was his wife and was still receiving alimony

steve's widow cannot just exclude the other children that are not hers, the probate court will step in and clear it up

its not that easy to just exclude people who have monetary rights like this

she knew he was fukking around, what do you expect her to say? that she knew about the affairs? that makes her look like a stupid gold-digging whore and gives a bad name to star athlete wives

you bet your ass she knew what was going on. most of these women who marry celebrities or star athletes are well aware of what goes on. they turn their cheek the other way so they can have a posh lifestyle and they just concentrate on their kids and all the money they get to enjoy for not lifting a finger

its the price of being a rich housewife, they just keep quiet about what their husbands do and 'make believe' its a happy monogamous home

i guess he threw alot of interceptions in his life but the last one he threw killed his ass.i guess his girlfriend seen another women coming out of his condo and figured it was another girlfriend...but my question is...how did she know it wasnt for his roommate?

she had been following the girl for a few days and i am sure she either saw her and steve together or knew the other roommate's schedule, etc. i am pretty sure she knew the girl was banging steve

thankfully, most people w/materialistic possessions realize that its best to leave them in the hands of the ppl they love most. in my case, i want my possessions to go to my future children when i die because i have worked very hard to get them.........

Wills go through probate court and are public. Get a Revocable Living Trust and save your family troubles.

Also a way to circumvent estate taxes!

I'm not saying that he should of have been cheating on his wife. What I am saying is that everyone has a vice. There are people out there that truly believe that gambling is as wrong as adultery. Therefore in plenty of people's eyes what we do is as bad as what he did. If a bookie killed one of us for owing gambling debts that guy would be vilified for simply enjoying himself to excess. I think its ridiculous for a gambler to to call an adulterer a bad guy. I'm not equating the two...I'm saying others do.

I know in Michigan anything over 19k including your home go through probate, 5-15% of the total value of the estate are deducted for fees and it take 6 months to 2 years. I don't know how it is where you are but a Revocable Living Trust is the way to avoid it.

If you have a lot of assets like McNair did, and/or you have a situation where your current wife is not the mother of all your kids, it is simply irresponsible to not have a will.

Being someone that deals with wills, trusts, deeds and so forth on a day to day basis I would say this isn't the best way to go. Revocable trusts become beyond messy if there is any sort of real estate transaction before you do end up dying. Much more paper work and signatures to get from everyone involved.....just make a will much easier in the long run and who really cares if it is public and goes through probate unless you are doing something illegal and hiding money.
