Really been debating a good handle of vodka lately. Been disciplining myself to just a 12er on non poker nights and for some strange reason every morning when I wake up all of the beer is gone every damn time and I cannot remember exactly what happened.

If you’re blacking out on a 12 pack then I’d probably stay away from vodka. But if you do then you don’t even have to go with the expensive stuff. Svedka is priced alright and is great. I swear it’s stronger than 40% too. I can drink vodka like water but that stuff shuts me down early.

Only expensive stuff I think is worth it is Ketel One. Shit is smooooth, and knocks my brain out similar to Svedka. Pinnacle is alright, seems watered down though. I drink Fleischmann’s for my cheap stuff.

Haven’t had Ketel One in like a decade, but yeah it just seemed stronger than the other crap. Same with Svedka. Ketel One not as expensive as Goose so probably not considered in the same category. I guess smooth for me is the ones that hit me harder without having rubbing alcohol taste. Never had Goose straight up to be able to tell how good it is.

Daaaamn. I spent $14-$15 a day for my handle. Crazy for a 5th. When I had money the only thing I’d pay up for was Jameson. Well, $20 something on Svedka. Love Jameson though. Double Jameson’s is where about 25% of my money went. So dumb. Wasn’t even tasting anything by the time I got to the bar. Can’t believe some of the dumb shit I did. Goose is like $15 more for a handle it seems.

One of the few liquors I might turn down if offered. In reality that’s not true, but only have bad memories of it. Throwing up that syrupy crap is no fun. Blacking out is no fun anymore either. I used to not mind it, but these days I’d really rather remember the shit that I did. I’m sick of the awkward looks and silence the next day.

jack is bad, i went through a phase too...i really dont know how i ever drank a ton of dark booze (while blacking out a fifth of local whiskey just last week, but the first in a LONG time)
