Count it. They will have a much better record than the Habs. One of the better off-season teams making moves. I like it.
Toronto Maple Leafs will make the post-season next spring.

#2They have certainly won the UFA season, and they didn't give out any bad contracts. Still a little thin up front, but should definitely be better.Comment -

#3Do you know who the got in the 1st rd of the draft? I am currently at work can't search properly. I just hope it was a solid C or winger that can light the scoreboard up.Originally posted by element1286They have certainly won the UFA season, and they didn't give out any bad contracts. The Leafs have improved but are still a work in progress, they look like they could easily kick the Habs in the teeth - this is a step in the right direction.
Brian Burke teams are tough - this is great for Toronto hockey.Comment -

#10Brain Burke will be named Pro Sports Executive of the Year. HE is slowly turning my Leafs into a contender. A few minor tweaks here and there and we will be making the playoffs this year. The Leafs D are scary tough and Toskala's number will improve big time this year. I also see our forwards being able to show what they can do this year due to better conditioning programs that they were sent off to follow as well as our D taking care of business for the.Originally posted by DeuceCount it. They also landed and signed 2 top notch college prospects (Bozak and Hanson) at the end of the season. PLUS they just signed the best European goalie outside of the NHL, Jonas "The Monster" Gustavsson. Signing these 3 players without giving up players/draft picks to do so is a major feather in Brian Burke's cap.
The Leafs will be very tough to play against next year. I honestly can't wait for next season. Our D will run Montreal out of their own building. GOOD TIMES!!!Comment -

#16It's the off season Dave. The Leaf's had their prospects camp yesterday and all reports are that Kadri has a good chance of cracking the lineup. I hope he goes back to Junior, but if he is ready by the time camp starts then he will likely start the season with eh Leafs.Originally posted by VegasDaveKadri isn't NHL ready just yet.

I'm really starting to like this guy.

Remember when you said the Blues would go far in the playoffs this spring?
They went far - if you count being eliminated in 4 straight a success, I know Nicky's Habs were the toast of Montreal this year for a similar result.Comment -

I personally would prefer to have someone with a proven record running the show but I don't mind that Montreal chooses to do things the wrong way. I can only hope they continue in their ways.Comment -
