Surely it is a fundamental in making a bet that you are betting on an outcome.

You are explicitly doing this and only imlicitly betting on the price also.

The bet was made for a given result. The bookmaker cannot change what the punter bet on. He may quibble the price, etc ... but NEVER the actual bet.

In principle, it is the same as changing the horse you have backed so as to fit their odds.

Incredible! If this truly is stated in their rules - whatever the outcome of this dispute - those rules should be challenged for being simply out of line.

I tried opening an account with these guys several months ago because they are one of the few books that offer live betting on tennis. Long story short, I wasn't able to open an account because they don't accept U.S. customers.

The relevant "rule" they think "covers this" is unclear and subjective.

Palpable errors In-Play - when it is clear which participant is the wrong price/line/handicap/totals, bets on this participant will be settled at the intended bet365 price/line/handicap/totals at the time the bet was placed. #2. My argument to them was if they want to adjust the odds rather than cancel it, they could use the price equivalent to the line. So maybe his bet becomes +4.5 -2500 but they can't arbitrarily pass out losers and change outcomes.

There isn't much need for an argument here. Obviously the player didn't agree to this bet they gave him.

I spoke with the night shift and asked that they escalate the tape of our conversation and will email upper Mgt. about it.

I understand what your saying, but if for example the price for benetton was 20.00 instead of 1.83 then i wouldn't say anything if they canceled the bet but they can't just change the points of the winning team that is totally illegal this is not a mistake this is stealing

i had the same problem with sotos with 365.but i did bet the same with small stakes only 90e.i did not know the rule i thought they would cancel the bet.i contacted them via live chat and i heard the same crap.but as far as i have understood all bookies if they make a mistake which was obvious cause i was watching the game, they never pay for it.only once 365 paid me a bad line at aigaleo-aek but i think they had not realised the bad line.in the past at baseball live betting i betted twice at a bad line and they just voided the bet in 5 minutes!i caught a bad line also at ladbrokes a month ago at real-mons for uleb with 150odd!i bet it in order to see what the would do.the bet lost so i lost allso my money they did not void the bet.so watch out when u see at live betting bad lines.the only reliable bookmaker is our local one in greece.they have many other weakness but they are the most reliable ones.and with unlimited stakes.even william hill and ladbrokes have limited and closed my accounts.nobody likes winning players

betfair mates is not a bookmaker they are agents.they are the best but their emploees are sometimes not very polite and not very helpfull. the biggest problem for me about 365 is tha they accept 1out of 10 bets over 100e from me...

unlike other countries UK has a very strict regulation on gambling. Direct your complain to http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/ and they'll surely deal with it fairly. hope this help.

That is correct and IBAS would rule in their favour. IBAS role is to ensure the book follows its rules, not to judge the rules. In this case Bet365 followed their rules. The rule stinks but I dont see that it is unclear. It gives them the ability to change the handicap if it is obviously wrong. With all other books showing the opposite handicap, it was obviously wrong.
Check out some of IBAS previous rulings, you will see what I mean. IBAS isnt necesarily pro bookie, it just has a very limited mandate. People expect too much of it when submitting a complaint.

i can't wait for a legal action against them,to really see their server and database and i'm sure they do settle same bets(i mean exactly same events) in a different way for different customers,and if any good lawyer is reading that pls let's get in touch..
and i'd like to find out how far should be a receipt from a key-action(like a goal,red card,penalty..)to be considered winner and not voided,because if i bet on something and after 10-15 seconds i get my fair and honest receipt,and after a couple of seconds when i get the transaction number something happens (like red card)i don't wanna see my receipt voided..and i don't need their words "traders decision" and rubbish stuff you perfectly know....),i wanna see time of the event taken from official statisctic matched with my receipt's time.

by the way i found out that a winning receipt for corners number has been settled "lost" even if it wasn't..,then i got the relevant documentation,sent everything to ibas..and suddenly i got a call from "bad3styptic5" saying the they'll give me soon back stake and winnings..and that's what happened..
i may do the same with all void receipts i have collected ...

You thought worst case scenario for you would be void bet - quick question for you - when you placed the bet at +4.5 HOW LONG WAS LEFT in the match? by my calculations and investigation - about 2 minutes , 3 at the most and you are trying to say you think a 9 point swing is not a palpable error! pmsl.

The one thing i do agree with you on is the rather blurry rule change they implemented for in play palpables (probably cos of perpetual cheats like you who only play wrong lines and think they have a no lose situation). Think they have reverted back to old rule of just void now.

I can see only ONE reason why they are not the best sportsook around and that would be due to the high juice offered as compared to Pinny etc BUT they are still usually a lot better than most other Euro sportsbooks - have you seen BWIN odds/juice??

Of course they restrict some customers - mainly arb players and the sharps but what do you want or expect them to do???? just let people win money off them Gees wise up guys, just open another account and stop about it.
