I found out bad news

So I haven’t been on much the past two weeks or so. I woke up Sunday August 5th and couldn’t stand or walk. My legs from the waist down was numb and tingly as well as my arms. I lost all strength over night. I was freaking out! Called ems and got taken to the ER. They did blood tests and a ct scan. Found nothing. I was admitted to the hospital in town.

I stayed in that hospital until August 15th with no diagnosis!! They didn’t have a neurologist which I needed to see. The earliest I could see one is August 24th st a different clinic. Fuk that!!! So I was just doing rehab there. Standing once or twice and that’s it. Sucked do bad. Gambling sites, poker was blocked.

Finally last Thursday August 16th I was transferred to a mayo hospital in a nearby town cause I could see a neurologist right away. Last Friday saw one and he immediately set a mri. Got mri done in the afternoon.

Mri showed lesions in my brain. I have MS. A total shock. It came out of left field. I’m now on steroids. Today will be day 4 of 5 steroid dosages. Wednesday I need to go to a rehab facility. Where? I don’t know.

I havent been this emotional in years!!! It’s been a rough two weeks.

That’s the hope JJ. I’ve showed strength back in my legs after 3 days of steroids. A physical therapist is visiting this afternoon. Do some standing exercises. So we will see

Wow badger, honestly my heart just sunk a bit. Please remember that you are you and you mind and soul are every bit of what makes you. Work hard at rehab, stay positive (generic, I know) and make sure you have a support system around you. Check in anytime and keep up the fight, you are you and nothing can take that away. There’s a lot of unknowns for you now, but once you get things settled and and a regular rehab, etc. You will have a moment to take a deep breath. Stay strong badger.

Sorry to hear, badger.
If it can be helped at all, don't become dependent on steroids. Someone I am close to
just died after many years of being dependent on prednisone. Use them now, sure,
but try and seek an alternative to steroids, any way you can.
