From the first definition when googled:
slow-roll

- (poker slang) To make a long pause before calling and all-in bet with a strong, usually very strong hand.

Notice it says nothing about intention to insult the other player. While of course it many times does include that, I don't think it has to. It's more about extending the time of a position of power.
For example, when looking at the definition I came across a story of a poker dealer slowrolling players at the table. In an all in with KK against 99 the dealer peeked at the turn card before turning it over, looked around, then revealed it making a set of 9s. He wasn't trying to insult anyone in particular, he just had all the power right then and was basking in it. That's definitely a slowroll IMO.Comment -

by any objective standard, it took him a while to make what should have been a snap decision.....
