Why Africa is begging for food for last 5 decades is beyond me, not to mention it's a very fertile land for agriculture. Look at Japan and German after WWII.

Not as great as you might think. Lots of areas have terrible geography when it comes to arable land, and some are right in the middle of a jet stream that flings dust and sand everywhere from neighboring areas.

That being said, when pretty much all of the Africa is struggling, it's really hard to keep making excuses.
