Wrong. The guy made a six-teamer based on his own opinion with nobody to talk him out of it. Guess what. He won.

Last night or the night before there was a guy who really liked the Dodgers but was talked out of it even though he hated the Angels pick. Wheres the logic in 'group plays.' if you can be talked out of something you really like?

Hey guys... Sorry that I wasn't around for the early games. CONGRATS DJ!

And Mike, the purpose of this thread isn't to talk anyone out of plays. That Dodgers thing was more because he said he thought it was gonna be close but wanted insurance. In hindsight, if the group didn't want the Dodgers play, we should've avoided the game altogether. But this IS a positive thread and while we did not make a parlay today, we CAN still be positive about someone of the team making their own play and having it hit.

Perhaps what we can do from now on, is everyone post their BEST BETS that they are playing no matter what, and only do a parlay if that play is something that everyone really wants to do. There are things that we can work and improve on, but it's good to be apart of something that's fresh and innovative.

We have some smart and interesting people here. I'm sure we can start hitting these things if we work on our approach a lil bit.

With that said, does anyone wanna get anything going for the night game? And maybe mix in a WNBA game or something???

You're right... I was thinking this myself and said something similar.. We have to get everyone aboard on everything. The goal is to have all of our energies align to create a parlay full of so much positive energy that it hits.

I think we have been too excited about being apart of something, that we lost focus of the main goal-- to actually hit winners. I'll admit that I've gone against my picks/instincts in order to have a game on there that everyone else liked. My thinking was that if more people liked a game, then perhaps I was on the wrong side of it. I'm sure that's what others thought too.

I think this CAN and WILL work tho. We just have to get everyone's top plays. Razz thought of a *** system that can help us narrow our selections. If you have any other ideas that may help Mike, please, feel free to share. We are trying to put something together here and appreciate all input. And no, I won't resort to dumb jokes after you give advice/ideas. I only did that in the other thread cuz I thought you were up for some bullshitting lol.

Anyway, I'm liking the Dodgers tonite +136 and over 9... If anyone else here likes that and/or wants to mix that in with one of the WNBA games, let me hear from ya. I prob like the Mercury and Sparks tonite, altho I haven't been following WNBA

First off, I'm here and ready to try and get 2-3 plays down before the late game(s) start. Secondly, I think Mike is just trying to help, and he's right in the fact that plays should have consensus. If one person likes something different there is no reason that they can't play that on the side. There is nothing inherently flawed about working as a group, we just need to get the kinks worked out. I'm going to look into the LOS/LAA game and report back in a few minutes. Please chime in with your ideas, especially if there are any WNBA guru's out there.

Why the cheap shots? You play parlays as well. Did any one come over to your thread to kick you while your down about your picks that missed? I'm not sure why no one here can resist throwing in some spiteful comment. I hope you'll continue to work with us in a positive manner.

razz, you're spot on. If someone likes a game the group don't there's nothing stopping them play that game themselves. Consensus is good when it's just that - consensus, and don't forget, consensus is as useful for games you all agree are non-plays as it is for the games you decide as a team to play. Some days you might not make any plays at all because there's no consensus, and when that happens you'll know you've got it pretty much the way you want it.

I know the Cubs appear poised for a nice lil run, but Atl showed they can compete with the big boys by hanging with Boston. I think Vazquez will shut the Cubs bats down, while Atl coasts to an easy win.

Those are just early thoughts after looking at the card for tomorrow's games, mind you... SF could be great value tomorrow...
