#39We are getting some new players in here, I like it. Except this:
Originally posted by JBC77Should call this the negative energy bankroll depletion bust out bankroll zero reverse energy gay ass thread. With the PEP record of 1-9 think you would get the picture by now. Can't win betting parlays.
Anyway, glad to see a few new faces. I'm gonna get some early rest but will be back at it the morning. i like the picks so far, I'll be checking in again in the AM to see how the lines have reacted and to statistically breakdown some of our front running picks. Good night everyone.Comment -

#42Originally posted by head_strongNot Playing the Blue Jays, Martis stats show he gives up very little to right handed hitters while lefties are hitting over .300 against him. The Blue Jays only had 2 left handed hitters in the lineup today w/ Joe Inglett who is hitting a mere .167 (0HR 1RBI) and Adam Lind who is having a solid season thus far. (Lyle Overbay pitch hit in the 11th and struck out) Going to look elsewhere for value and pass on this one....gl to those that play it.
Alright headstrong... you seem to know your shiit... a few of us seem to like the Jays, but this is a good argument to look elsewhere. Maybe it can also be a sign to take the under as well...
I'm liking Kinger's position about going with the Red Sox RL since that's the opposite of what he would usually do. I think I'm one of a few that actually like the Braves in this spot. That Knuckleball of Wakefield's seems too hard to predict.
I'm looking at all these sites with projections and what not, and am just confusing the shit out of myself. I'm prob over thinking this.
But, with me being happy to see some new faces in here, I'm inclined to defer on my selections and pay more attention to what they suggest. New energy is always appreciated and I don't mind backing it.

Det over**
Padres over**
and White Sox over** I'm really liking tho... One of these is prob bound to go under, but with them being 8 or 7.5, they seem like good value
Cleanuphitter likes the Det Over and the WhiteSox Over especially...Both games may feature great pitching matchups, but all we need is for one of those hot offenses to start off good and when the starters go out of the game, tack on a couple more runs.
When they project det to be 2.5 over the over and cws to be 3 over the over, I think we gotta go with them..

#44Personally I like to attempt to read the adjusted run lines (+1.5-2.5/reverse run lines), player props, team props, team totals, 1st team to 3 runs (@ blowdog) etc. to get more of a feel of what seems to have the most value which in turn generally doesn't pay so I like to go the other way. I also find the consensus sites very misleading, for wagerline to say 62% is on the Yankees is just not true (more like 85%). I also find it funny that pregame consensus will tell you 45% is on one team, while caribsports will say it's 65%, while twominutewarning says it's 30%, then sportsbook says 70%, in other words very inconsistent. So the only way I can figure out where the $ really are, is by going straight to the source....covers/therx/predict'em/insideslant/betting talk/eog/statfox & majorwager forums so it takes time before I lock anything in. All my own capping is done before any of the previous steps so I have a general idea of what I'm looking for before going into information overload.Comment -

#47Fk it….I’ve seen more people backing Atlanta then Boston and not sure why. Braves have only scored 4 or more runs in 3 of the last 11, they also haven’t won a series this month (Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Chicago Cubs). Boston has only lost 1 series this month (Texas) while winning series vs. Florida, Philadelphia, New York Yankees, Detroit. I can see why this line may seem off cause it has the same look and feel as Friday’s game which resulted in a Braves 8-2 win. But it’s hard to ignore the overwhelming #’s that point to Boston, the best team in the AL vs. the 4th best team in the NL East, I might have to make a move on this one.
If it looks too good to be true it usually is, 50% of the time when it comes to gamblingComment -

#49BOSTON is 130-74 (+32.2 Units) against the money line in games played on a grass field over the last 2 seasons.
BOSTON is 58-31 (+18.8 Units) against the money line when playing against a team with a losing record over the last 2 seasons.
BOSTON is 82-38 (+23.2 Units) against the money line in home games over the last 2 seasons.
WAKEFIELD is 27-9 (+14.1 Units) against the money line in home games over the last 3 seasons. (Team's Record)
WAKEFIELD is 27-9 (+14.1 Units) against the money line in home games in games played on a grass field over the last 3 seasons. (Team's Record)
WAKEFIELD is 19-4 (+12.8 Units) against the money line in home games when playing against a team with a losing record over the last 3 seasons. (Team's Record)
I try to not pay too much attention to all these different trend sheets, I generally won't look back much more than a month when it comes to an overall teams performance. Too many variables with the majority of those, like roster changes, injuries, errors, etc. but gl with your plays payingthejuicejust my opinion.
