The actual wooden bats for the Padres are useless. Due to who is swinging them.

Since you made this post one month ago he raised his BA .025 points hit 8 HR's and had 17 RBI's.
Dan Uggla says thank you.

Retired in 2009.
Useless?
He was a middle infielder that average 18 homers a year with a .275 career average.
He played 12 years, had a nice career.
Useless? Maybe the OP

There are a couple of guys that I can think of who have good stats, but I truly don't think that there team would lose anything at all in the standings without them. Been that way for their whole careers, too. Ichiro Suzuki and Jose Reyes. Notice I didn't say they were lousy players; rather, I just think they are two of the least important 'stars' in the league today.

Carlos Lee is the most overpaid, worthless player today. He can't hit with people on base and can't hit in the clutch.

Adam Dunn. AVG .101, HR 3, RBI 5, OBP .151
They have to invent a new position for this guy, b/c the shame he brings to the designated hitter position is irreversible. He is literally paid to sit on his ass for 9 innings a day. He is not hitting or walking anywhere near league averages, and doesnt play the field.

Has started 10 of 19 games this season in the field; 8 at 1B 2 in LF for 80 plus innings. His bat has been like a toothpick though.
