The kid played a few college games, and didn't show me more than Leinart. This kind of money is all based on potential and hope. Compared to soccer's $131 million for Ronaldo, the Jets get a very shaky deal here.

I am hardcore Jets fan and I am not convinced. The guy wasn't that impressive at USC to me. I guess we shall see but for right now I think the Jets are throwing too much his way but this is the way the NFL is, paying unproven players millions of dollars only to watch them fail and end up having to start over while paying the failed player the rest of his money.

I'd say Marino was the best Passer, Unitas the best QB. The guy called his own plays and was the Ultimate Field General

Marino had his chance in the big game and lost. Maybe had he had a better team, he could've won a few SuperBowls and left no doubt on the greatest qb debate. But since there is doubt, I don't see how he can be the greatest

It's a little tougher than that to throw at the NFL level... But I understand your point. They say the kid has poise tho and can bounce back from a hit. We shall see tho. Not much of a track record..

Grossman led the Bears to a SuperBowl appearance. You may claim that was based on the Bear's great defense. But Ryan is a great def coach.

Yes. Took them to the playoffs in 05 and was a missed PAT away from doing it in 06 IIRC.

Palmer was an elite QB when 100%, Cassell has also looked pretty good.

Leinart was always overrated. If he didn't play with Reggie Bush he's probably a 3rd/4th rounder.
