I gotta calm myself during the game threads. Moderators there aren't very lenient. Somehow I have never been banned here once.
Lol, I admire your honesty.. No shame in your game as you own it.. Cheers bud!!

I don't drink all day long and only drink at night.. Just have a couple glasses of red wine every night that's all. I'm not completely hooked in other words and can skip days without a problem.. I do like my vino though I can't lie.
Functioning alcoholics never look drunk they look sober to everybody they know, they can drink at work as well
as long as they are not breathing on anybody.........

      Hence the word functioning.........

How much can you put down a night jibs without anyone noticing?

If you ever get pulled over by police and they ask if you were drinking always do field sobriety tests of back flips and cartwheels before you agree to breathalyzer or blood alcohol tests..

Because your tolerance level is probably remarkably high, your breathalyzer or blood alcohol test levels would most likely be 2 to 3 times the legal limit............

Really are fcked regardless, unless you can pull off a miracle. Daytime, you can but if it's dark, good luck. They know from the start. I denied my last one because I knew it was going to be a terrible number. And this was after they came to my apartment hours after the fact. Was sleeping, and not even in my truck. Good times.

There's your answer. If you want to stop, find something to work toward, set a goal.

Appreciate the thought. I really do, and know that's what it will take. I'm done though. Got nothing left in the tank. Been running on E for a while now. I'm tired, and just wanna move on. Gonna post until my number 23K, and be out. Probably why I'm hammering out pointless posts.

Long story, and moron friends/roommates. Plus my dumbass happily opened the door because I didn't know I even went anywhere. Ah, I'd type it out but I just look like a fool.

I'll sum it up. Slammed a bottle, took Xanax. Blacked out. Friend convinced me to drive as I was falling into shit. Got there, punched one of my windows out. Went in bleeding, got booted, stomped out by four dudes, got in my truck and hammered it into a concrete building. Drove home fine. Smashed said bottle over head, fought someone, got stabbed in the hat, went to sleep, then woke up to police. They had my brake light, and someone I know told them my name. Handcuffs, jail, no apartment, back with mom, jail, back with mom. My life.

Oh, sworn affidavits by my dumbshit roommates saying I didn't drink when I got home so I couldn't say that I wasn't driving drunk. Oh well. Deserved it, and glad no one was hurt besides me.

Non opiate users say why don't they just quit? Once your hooked, which for most of us with smack takes three days straight of use (yes that's it), you get sick as hell when you try to stop. Even when you want to quit your too sick so you just give into perpetuating the cycle.

It can change for the better even though it’s probably hard to think about anything close to a normal life when you’re just trying to get rid of the withdrawals when you wake up

Idk man when it comes down to it we only have one life...like there’s gotta be a better way even if your motivation is non existent at the moment. I’ve had friends in similar spots to you, some have turned their lives around, others not so much

If you could flip a switch and not have to deal with putting in the work to get better would you do it?

Are you physically addicted to any other substances besides alcohol at this point?

I was addicted to heroin for 2 years 2006-2008

                                Quitting was tough as nails

But the way your health declines when you are a junkie is unbelievable, had to get out or die

Yup, they remember being high and feeling good and forgetting about the stresses of life, so as soon as they hit a bad time again they go right back to the pipe or needle again to ease the pain and forget... Then the sobriety is broken..

The vicious addiction cycle then continues.. Same with gambling addicts, they go sober for a time and then something really bad happens in their life like a break up..Then they go right back to letting it ride and betting again without discipline...

Yeah heroin is all over in jail/prison. Whatever you want for the most part. Booze harder to get than dope, but I was never in prison. Though everyone talked about how they wish they were Upstate. Everything cheaper, and could smoke. I'm sure I'll see for myself soon enough. No one made booze in jail. They checked our shit too much.

Chico the Heroin attics are making money to support their addiction out on the streets.. Even if they can get in jail how are they going to make money to buy or get it being in jail? I highly doubt a heroin addict can keep up the habit in prison when the income funnel runs dry..
