We discussed this in the big BTC thread. This period from August to November has been historically very strong. The past 2 years there were only 6 losing weeks out of like 30. And the best period within that period has been mid August to early Sept. High chance it is coincidence.

Raiders posted an article a couple of days ago that one of the big US exchanges, I think the CME, will be offering option trading soon. BTC was $2800 at the time. It didn't move much on that report but I really though that was significant news.

I bought some btc when it was trading at $5. When I was up a couple thousand dollars I sold. I've bought btc a few times and sold after making a good return. Wish I had just held on to it though. I bought 200 btc for $1000...today that would be worth...$600,000. JESUS!
I did lose a few thousand in the mtgox debacle too though.

That happens to everyone with speculative investments like stocks, precious metals, commodities. Don't beat yourself up too much. You'll be much more confident and ready for the next bitcoin type investment that comes along later.

Shot, I know this Bitcoin pricing looks too good to be true. Looks great. Churning upward. Compare to savings Accts, taht move at glacier-like pace.

A lot of Bitcoin pricing videos out there. Some are done by morons. See the guy in your link (the guy w/ the CRASHES).

See my link above. This is a good video from a guy who is rational. He's a penny-stock investor. Presents the arguments pro/con.

To me, the question is "How widespread will Bitcoin become, as a way to make payments?"

This guy's prediction has pretty much been spot-on. Was around $400 on 1/1/2016. Called for $10,000 by 12/31/2018.

At mid-pt, he's pretty close to the projection line.

Last year and the year before there may of well been a direct correlation. But the market cap was only $4 billion. Now the market cap is close to $50 billion.

I think most analytical guys would chalk it up to coincidence. A chart reader would make a great argument to buy in early August and sell in late Sept.
