#3332I mentioned a few pages back that the bottom should be ~11,000. It looks to hit the bottom and rising up. This is a great time to buy IMO.Originally posted by shadymcgradyGreat time to buy some btc
People panic over every little thing. America has too many pussies. BTC is up 1,300 % on the year and all these whiners in this thread. Damn.
All it take is a handful of people to move this market and that's just what they did. Now they are playing Trading Places and buying it back up, while they celebrate the New Year.
BTC routinely has a 30% selloff. It happens a lot during the year, so it should not be surprising in an emerging asset.
2011 - 93% selloff
2013 - 70
2014 - 86
2017 - 30
So people are crying over a 30% selloff when it's up 1300%. LOLComment -

#3338Two things happened this week. Coinbase added bitcoin cash which gave more legs to BCH and also took Bitcoin down a little. Then follow that up with CNBC's propaganda promoting BCH and crapping on Bitcoin and you can see where this headed.Originally posted by TheMoneyShotThere's a saying... to be the man... you've got to beat the man. #3340This is like the beginning of the Internet. Things are very fluid. What works today, may not work tomorrow. Crypto companies are trying to align themselves to people and companies in an effort to gain market share. Cardano is moving into the gambling arena but also trying to align themselves to the Swedish government, so that they can handle financial transactions cheaper. Who knows where they will go next. Coins like Dogecoin is trying to be the small transaction leader, where you can send $$ to someone when you like their post or their ideas, instead of giving them a thumbs up. Right now on reddit, people can give coins to people. This is a gamechanger where people can get paid immediately for good ideas instead of trying to build followers or likes. A musician can now retrieve cash/coins for their work directly from the consumer instead of the middle man at Ascap. Tron is trying to develop apps that can secure digital content (video, audio). Imagine me sending you a clip of my next big movie hit to review, without worrying if it will be downloaded all over the internet? The crypto technologies are game changers in finance, medicine, entertainment, science, Transportation, etc. The uses are endless.Originally posted by Chi_archiewhere are people spending ADA right now? who is accepting that?

Now, I know people here in Houston that use Monero and zcash every day to send money. I have a friend in Venezuela that has moved all his money to crypto's because the government is fukkked. He can't even buy an airplane ticket with the Bolivar because that shit ain't worth the paper it's printed on. That government has just started it's own crypto backed by oil because they've seen their currency so devalued that it's worth nothing. If you live in China, would you trust the government with your millions? All these coins offer certain protections (and risk). People are trying to figure it all out but eventually a handful will control a majority of market share. Who? Which companies/coins? Anyone's guess.
This isn't any different than stocks. An IPO comes out and people start investing. The company says they are going to do x, y, and z. Some companies survive, many die on the vine. GE is down 50% on the year. Sears, Toy R Us are bankrupt today. Blockbuster Video used to be the rage. Today it's a dinosaur.
Bottom line... Digital currency and cryptology is here to stay. It's not going anywhere. How many people at SBR has a checkbook? Or balances a checkbook? Our kids are not going to buy gold for security against governments, they are going to buy digital currencies. 20 years from now, we won't even realize how many every day transactions will be run through the digital space. It will be just like riding a bike. This technology is out of the bag now. Companies will find uses to transfer money cheaper and safer, and it's through digital. Buy the dips and HODL.Comment -

#3341Go to coinmarketcap.com and click on the crypto you have interest. You can get all the information you need on the technology for the coins there. You can either flip a coin or do some actual reading.Originally posted by BsimsThese are great questions. Let's face it, these crypto currencies are mostly smoke and mirrors.

I think we are well poised for a HUGE run in the next 60 days. HUGE!!! I have BTC hitting $22.5k in January.

#3349On a real note: coinbase being down and not allowing buys means 1 of 2 things:
They're scared, they don't have the cash to pay everyone and this is REALLY bad.
Or
Like they've done in the past they're having "maintenance issues" and the whales are about to magically return and bring the price back up, and they're now allowing the joes to buy the dipsComment -

#3351Although without coinbase buys, if truly down for "everyone" it's going to be near impossible to make a bull run.
Wonder how the sportsbooks are handling this? Hopefully I'm not losing my ass in crypto to only find out the books can't pay either 😭😭😭😭Comment -
