I'm holding through January, a lot of people think we will see coins across the board being sold off with people taking profits but with all the hype can you imagine the Xmas table discussions and people whipping out their Iphones to show their cousins, brothers, uncles how much money they've made trading crypto, I think 2018 is going to be huge for this sh*t and coinbase is going to get flooded with new deposits.

JP the other day when it got rough I had to go back in some of the bitcoin forums on here and read the first few posts (you and shocka etc were some of the first posters) it’s kinda funny now seeing you guys sweat the drops from 1000 to 800 haha

Either a first time buyer who doesn't know better or someone who isn't well versed with computers who is frustrated trying to play the game of buying Bitcoin/ETH and sending it to an exchange to by the alt and just wants it as simple as possible.

any advice would be appreciated..... to $2000 of teh shit in coinbase and need to blow it....

Blockchain is the one I use and probably one of the most reputable of the hot wallets (where your wallet is installed in a device connected to the internet) if you want a mobile wallet on your phone. The pros are that it's simple to use and convenient since you can also access the wallet through a web browser on your computer if you want. The drawback of a hot wallet is because it's connected to the internet, there's always the risk of if your phone (or laptop if you access the wallet through your browser) gets hacked, they can obtain the keys to your wallet and drain your funds. If you have no desire doing transactions through your phone and just want to do it through your computer, Electrum is a popular one that installs on your computer.

If you're willing to spend money anywhere from $75-$200, you can buy a cold wallet like a Trezor and Ledger. When you want to transfer funds, you plug it into your computer to authenticate a transfer and it's safer because the device isn't connected to the internet so it can't be hacked. However, it's more of a pain in the ass to deal with because of the extra steps required to send Bitcoin.

Bitcoin shows fractal behavior, imho. In other words, the same movement/shapes. Same relative movements, just at higher denominations.

Think about the buy/sell patterns. Someone is making the same move many times over.

I do own both, but during that drop I was deciding whether to double up on everything or wait and see what happened in the asian market the next night. I only doubled up on TRX and IOTA which was probably the worst 2 I could have chosen out of what I already owned. At about 1 am during that pullback I also got confirmation that my Coinbase acct. wire had been received, which scared me even more. I figured if they are approving bank wires at 1 AM something isn't right. He who hesitates masterbates. Now let me go find a good diggity poll thread...

Donk Pal use https://block.io/ if you want a extremely fast wallet that supports a lot of coins or https://www.blockchain.com/ if your looking for safety and the ability to monitor exchanges, tree paths etc.

It’s been this way for quite a while. Whales have enough control in this unregulated market to manipulate it how they want. With that said gives them great reason not to crash it.
