i know that and would run under a 5 second 40 in my sleep bud , but thanks for coming out
ive seen 230lb + guys on my football teams run under 5 seconds thats basically the equivalent of running a 15 second 100 meter dash which is extremely easy for any decent athlete

I'm talking slow in the head, in a way. I just don't think people realize how hard it is to be under 5 with an actually timed 40. People may run them with a stopwatch, but when it's on point then it's pretty damn difficult. Top class athletes run a 4.7. Random people being under 5 is no joke. But, if you've done it, or seen then congrats.

Fire is absolutely correct, running a 40 under 5 seconds isn't a big deal at all. A few haters here born fat and goofy or what not. It's not like I sit here and say "no one here can win betting sports" simply bc I myself can't.

Its not like running a sub 5 sec 40 is anything to write home about either. Either u can or u can't no big deal either way but to say no one else can simply bc u cant? Well that's just ignorance to an amusing level of entertainment

Everyone built differently cuse, lineman are breaking 5 and those are 350 plus dudes comparable to sumo wrestlers. Top class athletes are under 4.7 EASY way under

yup running under 5 second and being 250+ lbs is a great athlete imo, for a normal athletic build sub 5 seconds is fairly easy
but everybody has certain talents for their body frame in the end , guys who can run faster 40s typically lift less reps on the 225 bench press and guys who are running slower 40 times are typically bigger and can lift more reps in the bench portion

but just saying for this particular thread running under 5 seconds 40 dash im assuming a decent amount of guys here could do it , any person 170-225lb range whos a solid athlete and has played sports in a competitive setting should be able to hit under 5 seconds imo, to be considered a fast athlete id say 4.8 or under is the benchmark id throw out if youre hitting 4.8 or under youre very solid , but stop watches and real time do play a big difference for sure

It's rly not a feat or accomplishment imo cuse. I'm in better shape than I was in college bc of routine. Work, gym, ball. I don't drink and I have to eat better to spend less time in the gym.

I know 50 yr olds in better shape than me that would break 5 sec in a 40 I dunno maybe it's lifestyle? Play ball a few times a week which probably helps I dunno like I said not that big a deal.

Back in high school everyone was clocking under 5 on the football team and the basketball team was just the football guys with one or 2 Jewish dudes. Everyone was faster in college and I'm in better shape now as I said earlier.

There probably some former d1 or d2 athletes on here that would definitely shatter 4.7 let alone 5

There is zero reason for a high school coach not to do this. Hand timed 40's by high school coaches are fast 95% of the time

Jadar Johnson, the starting safety for the National Champion Clemson Tigers, ran a 4.71 40 at the 2017 combine. That means if you run a 5.0 or under 40, you would be within about 7-8 feet of Jadar when he hit the finish line.
