when i was 23, my dad gave me the same ultimatum.. he said if i make one more bet, i am thrown out of the house.. and i had only 2,300 in my bank acct..

I did quit right after.. you know for how long?? for 4.5 hrs.. i thought he was joking, but he wasn't..i was booted out of the house and slept outside for 2 days till i found a cheap 280$ a month apt full of roaches and rats

there's no way i can ever quit gambling. .. it's easier to quit food for life than to quit gambling..

jj, my weeks go by so fast only because of gambling. it really fills my life up.. i can't beleive it's the weekend already. i swear, it seems like it was just the weekend 2 days ago.. the only reason it goes by fast is because gambling makes it go so much faster because it's exciting this stuff. like tonight, if there wasn't 14 ballgames tonight, i would not know what to do.. i'd be depressed. like just now, the GF says, lets go for a walk, it's beautiful outside.. yeah right.. can you imagine having to spend my fri nights going for a walk, instead of having action on games and hoping to 12-2 tonight.. it's so fukkin exciting and makes life more enjoyable.

there ain't enough money out there to make me quit..

JJ, to prove my point that people gamble for the action and boredom and not the $$.. i swear to GOD.. my ex bookie partner won the big lottery here in quebec and won 10 million. he's a big bettor and big sports fan.. he always told me if he'd win lottery, he'd never have to gamble again..i said, yeah right

well, now he's a multi millionaire and you know what he does every night?? he bets 500 across the board for fun cause he is bored.. he has 8 giant tvs and satellite and nowhere to go.. he makes about 30k a week in interest alone on his 10 million, but bets nickels. go figure.. he dont need the cash, he's got all you need for life.. but he says the rush is unreal and you cant get it with everyday life of having money

there's your reason why people can't stop gambling. it's not the money.. it's the rush.. and boredom, and challenge of beating the bookie.. etc..

if people really loved money, they'd get 2 jobs.. not gamble.
