This is an oxymoron Willie. You pay for airline ticket if you "rent" your seat for the trip on an aircraft you don't own but you only pay gas if you use a vehicle you own and don't pay for renting a car.

Here is my question then. If I use the same logic will you pay for my jet fuel if I fly my own private jet in Vegas?

First off, it's not an oxymoron pavy. You may find the idea that we won't pay for a rental car while in Vegas inconsistent with other offers for the Bash. But my statement was not an oxymoron.

Secondly, yes, we will pay for your jet fuel if you fly your own private jet to Vegas...up to $300.

Thanks for answering Willie. Whilst I'm grateful for Pavys support and the fact his comments are the most amusing I've seen for some time, I had a feeling the answer was no but I figured there was no harm in asking.

To give you a clue of how much my wife hates me, she has no problem with me going to Vegas for the weekend with a bunch of sexually depraved gamblers as long as she's not left without a car.

That was the reason I asked the question, but fuk her, I'm taking the car.

If someone wants to rent a car and drive to the bash, and they qualify for travel reimbursment, then I see no reason why we wouldn't reimburse them. But I understood Mike's original question to be for renting a car while at the bash, not getting there. We're going to square up with everyone that qualifies for the reimbursement that first night, or at least that's how we did it last year.

I may be wrong reading Mike's original post but he was concerned with taking the family car for the trip because his wife needs it for the weekend. I concluded that he wanted to rent a car from LA instead of driving the family car or flying. Mike is the only one to shed light because I may be interpeting his post wrong.

The guy who played me at the bash last year got the rental and gas reimbursed along with the agreed $200 per diem.

Ok, I replied via PM as well this a.m. (I think). Just in case I didn't, bring the receipt for the rental car in and the receipts for the gas to get there and we should be able to cover that. I was under the impression that you and Blitty were flying together, thus my confusion that it was for a rental while you were in Sin City.

Ok folks, we have hit the 50 max on the travel reimbursement. So anyone that might otherwise qualify when they sign up, send me a PM to let me know you want to be on the waiting list for travel reimbursement in the event we have cancellations that would open up a spot.

Also, I'll be e-mail each registrant throughout the summer to keep in touch with everyone as we draw nearer the date. If your plans have changed when you get these e-mails, let me know then.
