no where near as good a defender, and can't shoot FT's at a high enough clip. But still the best in TODAY'S game

Don't go talking crazy Jew non-sense, JJ. LeBron will never win 6 championships. Never.

Also, LeBron is just top gorilla in the NBA... nothing more. As incredible as guys are athletically in the NBA, LeBron is one level higher. He is that gifted physically. He just a more physically gifted animal, that's all.

No doubt Kobe is more skilled and talented.... more diverse. He has mastered his craft like no other in the NBA. But people can guard him straight-up and force him to shoot a fade away with a hand in his face.

LeBron is so gifted physically he doesn't have to resort to that. He can simply out-animal you with his athleticism. That's what puts him a notch above Kobe in the long run.

It's like Shaq. Shaq is the biggest ape around. Is the most skilled and talented in the NBA in the last 10 years? Maybe not in the top 10 .... but his mass and all-out animalism makes him dominate the game like no other.

      Example:

      TIm Duncan: Skilled Genius
      Shaq: Humungous Ape

It's like comparing Bruce Lee and a pitbull in a fight. Bruce is a million times more skilled... whereas the pitbull is simply a ferocious animal that will win based on it's animalism.

      End of story.

        So to sum up....

Shaq and LeBron are basically like huges powerful monkeys... and the rest are mere humans that have to rely on skill to win. Shaq and LeBron simply out-animal the competition. Easy as 1-2-3

Broke, that may be b/c you're young and PC-ized up the ass... brain-washed by the U.S. media.

Step back and think for a minute. Please remind me of all the great civilizations that Sub-Sahara has produced in millions of years of existence...

Freeing a wild animal doesn not make it civilized... it just sets an animal outside of it's cage. Just look around you

Kobe is out there busting his balls against great competition. Lebron is seeing one bum team after another and it was nice for the refs to get Josh Smith of the floor for Lebron by calling touch fouls on Smith. Lebron playing against Artest and Battier would get shut down just like Bowen shut him down in the finals.

hes already better than jordan especially when jordan was his age. forget the rings they will come starting with this year. hes becoming an unreal defender. the ultimate teammate and everyone in the nba would love to play with him.

when its all said and done jordan will be an afterthought.

                                This cracked me up....a lot.

As for Lebron, he is freakishly athletic, seems like a solid teammate, and is doing everything right. Best in the game if you are building a team.

With that being said...Jordan changed the game.

                                Jordan > Lebron.

I think we sometimes forget how good MJ was....I mean, SICK.

Was watching the Lake game yest and waw watching how they were handling Kobe....even tho he got his points. You could never handle Michael. Michael in that game last night would've ripped em new assholes.

This happens a lot when watching Kobe games. Kobe is great but he's no Jordan.

Jordan and Ali are two guys that will NEVER be topped in their sport. MJ wasnt as good as Lebron at a young age but MJ took it to another level.

This is why JJGOLD is such a shitty capper!!! This thread right here...

Lebron isn't even on the same level as MJ.

Lebron has hardly any skill its just athletic ability. Lebron gets touched and they call a foul, he never gets called for going over someones back or anything down under the basket. Its sad. If he played against the 90's knicks team he would be crying to the refs 1 minute in and refusing to come out and play... He's the kid that would only play touch football and cried when he got pushed down...

MJ had skills, MJ thrived with pressure and contact. Piss MJ off he plays better.

Piss Lebron off and he gets rattled.

MJ could shut anyone down on defense and then score on anyone. MJ could make his free throws, MJ would dunk people's free throws when they missed them. MJ is the best.

Lebron is the best of the current the players at his position. I'd rather have wade or kobe of this fool. Because again, Lebron doesn't have skills he has athletic ability, and JJGOLD can't understand that...

Everyone calls Lebron the king...I'd ****ing take a leak on the king. Try to anoint that!!!

Asinine Thread that doesnt deserve further discussion. MJ 6 Championships/ 5 Finals MVP. Enough Said.

MJ retired B/c he had no competition, then came back and won 3 more championships.

Lebron has the talent, but let him produce some results that cant be debated, and that out due MJ. Then we will revise this conversation.

JJ gets his Lebron Fix from the espn hype machine and runs with it. JJ is easy prey for shit like that. He sees the three highlights ESPN runs over and over all day long and JJ thinks Lebron played the whole game like that. Last year Stevenson from Washington said Lebron was overrated. This year Artest said "Lebron really isn't that hard to guard". Did u ever hear anyone say that ever about Jordan?

Lebron isn't even on the same level as MJ.

Lebron has hardly any skill its just athletic ability. Lebron gets touched and they call a foul, he never gets called for going over someones back or anything down under the basket. Its sad. If he played against the 90's knicks team he would be crying to the refs 1 minute in and refusing to come out and play... He's the kid that would only play touch football and cried when he got pushed down...

MJ had skills, MJ thrived with pressure and contact. Piss MJ off he plays better.

Piss Lebron off and he gets rattled.

Everyone just calm down a minute here and read the question slowly. I don't think Gold ever implied that Lebron right now, is better than Jordan. I assuming he's looking far ahead into the near future.

With the way the league is right now, not many dominant defenders or quality teams left I can see a 24 year old LeBron win at least 3 to 6 Championships by the time he's 35. The Spurs did it with Duncan, so Lebron should be able to do it too!

Oh he is gonna win this year. I said it from the start. This league will move mountains to make sure he wins it this year. Why u think all these teams lost at the end of the year so Lebron would have the easy ride thru the playoffs. Same thing happen the year he went to the finals. This league did the same thing for Wade when he won his title. Like Rasheed said the year Lebron went to the finals he said this league is like the WWE.

If you had to take 1 player at age 24, who would you take? Lebron or MJ? I'm sorry but I'd have to take Lebron at this early age. I loved watching MJ and he showed up every night but don't forget that he had another hall of famer in Pippen and an incredibly under rated teammates. Lebron has been winning with a bunch of scrubs. He has made these guys into stars. Mo Will was considered a bad seed a year ago. Verajao was a lousy flopper and Z was on his last legs. Lebron and Mike Brown has made the whole team step up their game especially on defense.

He took a horrible Cleveland team to the finals already. A team that had Amon Ones (no D and no J) and Eric Snow starting? Even Jordan couldn't take that team to the finals.

Lebron at 24 is a much better rebounder, assist and outside jump shooter. Jordan didn't really get a good jumper until he was 26/27...
