Detroit played an uninterested and uninspired first 30 minutes and because of that, they were put in a situation where a bad call could screw them. And it did.

The thing is IMO and I liked Detroit, too was they didn't really play well enough to win anyhow. They had a whole game to beat Anaheim, but struggled the entire game. I cannot blame one single call.

it was a shitty call no question. Humans make mistakes. He only followed the rule that says he must blow the whistle once he loses sight of the puck. Bad call , yes, but look at all the penalty calls throughout the game/series which lead to goals. Some of those calls are just as bad and change the outcome of the game.
