Even though you thought it excessive you did exactly what you were supposed to do. You did not resist arrest and you did not take off running. I bet you do not have a lengthy criminal record either do you? The guy on the Live Facebook was one of the few that i have seen that actually did not resist arrest . He seemed actually like a great human being and that cop should get into a ton of trouble. But it is hard for me to have sympathy for anyone that runs or resists arrest and has a long criminal record.Comment -

I use to conduct business sales training when I lived in LA. 5 young black guys use to come to my training. All of them from affluent families. They came to the training late one Saturday morning in suits covered in mud and dirt. I ask them what the hell happened and they tell me how LAPD pulled them over for no reason at all. Handcuffed all of them and made them lie face down in the mud with their suits on while the cops called 4 other police cars over so they can search their Cadillac Escalade. I was so mad, I called the police station, spoke with a supervisor who gave me the run around. I didn't have words to tell these guys. I felt so overwhelmed and frustrated that I could not protect these kids.
Months later I met a Hispanic man that had his life destroyed by LAPD Rampart that planted Heroin on him where he did 6 years hard time. I was almost in tears as he told me how his family deserted him, his fiancee left him because the overwhelming evidence that was planted showed that he had it in his car. What broke his heart was that his own mother didn't believe him. She went to her grave asking him to confess what he did and she died before years later it was proven that the evidence was planted. He had a case against LAPD but I don't know how it ended but he said, no amount of money would ever give him those 6 years back nor the lost of his family/fiancee.

Unfortunately, we as a society always want to know the race. White guys are getting killed by the police too but we really don't care so it's swept under the rug. We need to change like you said because its the abuse of power that's the problem.
As soon as we heard of the Dallas shootings, we all wondered, who the hell would do this? Everyone speculated "what color". Our society is totally fixated on color and until that changes, race relations won't.Comment -
Why is it when the cops catch somebody on tape they call it an open-and-shut case, but when the cops are caught on camera there is a multitude of excuses and exceptions.
Can't see well from this angle...... don't know what happened before cameras were rolling, cameras can always be deceiving, cameras dont capture someones thoughts or frame of mind at the time.....blah blah blah.

So far there are 2 instances in the last 2 years of unjustified murder against a black by a police officer
#1 SC shooting in the back for which the officer was indicted on state AND federal charges and will likely get 30 to life without parole
#2 Minnesota shooting which (if the facts are as they appear) will result in a similar indictment and sentence
The rest like Michael Brown (6' 5" 300 pound thug who'd just done his routine convenience store robbery and beat up a cop who dared question him about it and got himself shot in the process) are penetrating jokes...that officer should've gotten a medal for putting down that beast instead he was forced to resign after the uneducated broke welfare abusers looted and set fire to some stores to protest their racist policy of charging for their products.Comment -

ANYTIME an unarmed person is killed we need to do our due diligence to thoroughly vet the perpetrator. Well this cop's attorney said that according to the officer, The officer was reacting to what he thought was Philando Castile reaching for a gun. They are showing a picture from the video, but you can't really tell what it is.Comment -
Jay the cop in SC has been indicted by a grand jury on state murder charges AND simultaneously indicted by the federal government on federal charges (basically as bad as it gets from a criminal charge perspective)
If the circumstances are similar in the Minnesota case that officer will face the same....for penetrates sakes before evidence is even collected the state governor is already calling him a racist murderer so the cards are certainly not stacked in his favor of "getting off" and one could certainly argue the system is biased against him as labeling him a racist cold-blooded murderer by the governor in the news could certainly influence a jury
What more do you want exactly...if someone kills you for no reason they will get 30 to life in prison (30 minimum before possibility of parole)...that's just the standard sentence...if the crime is especially heinous they will do life...if the crime is like this where its basically a mentally ill officer snapping they will do a minimum of 30 years and be paroled....what do you want exactly? They don't go to trial because when the FACTS are put together, there isn't enough for an indictment. The problem is you have tens of thousands of dumb muppets spouting off wanting people in jail or hung before they are aware of any facts. People think that Castile was pulled over for a busted tail light because that's what a woman says on facebook. It's coming out now that he matched the description of an armed robbery suspect. You had morons on social media saying the CD man was shot in the head even after the autopsy info came out. The majority of people have their minds made up before they even hear the facts.Comment -

Rodney King lived and had no broken bones if I'm not mistaken, the beating while excessive was some what deserving by his criminal actions.. The black community cried foul and Rodney King was then made to be a Saint.
Reginal Denny then gets his head caved in and beaten to near death in public, an innocent white man driving a big rig truck minding his own business. No one stepped in to help this man as more black people cheered and just got joy kicking this mans head and dropping bricks on his crushed skull.
