In regards to the service charge, you are correct. It is not gratuity, but is a fee. So, basically if you know you are doing something you get an 80% discount. I guess if you know you are going to be spending the money anyway and debating on 2 or 3 days, it makes the third day only like $100 extra.

it wasnt too bad. s. 19th street. i was down in old city checking it out. just about got tackled by security when i stepped on the sidewalk after being dropped off by Lyft right outside Independence Hall after hours. None of us were ever there before so didnt know any better

Very True trust me I take advantage of the player card. Anyone that has ever been with me at the Bellagio knows that they never have to pay for rooms, food, and drinks(and shows)... I love that Mlife Platinum card.

FYI - If you stay three days on your own then they give you $500 in credit towards excursions, hotel credit, etc. Not sure what all there is to spend money on, but its free.

The hotel has confirmed that the two main program dates (the two free nights) count toward this 3 night requirement so those of you will be extending your stay qualify individually.

"The Hotel will offer a special amenity of $1800 Resort Credit (For 7- 8 Nights) OR $1500 Resort Credit (For 5-6 nights) OR $750 Resort Credit (For 4 nights) OR $500 Resort Credit (For 3 nights). Credit is based on per room stay and applicable to individual guest rooms only. Resort Credit can be used towards tours, golf, spa/beauty salon services, romantic dinners, upgraded wine selection, in-House Photo packages. I just thought of a question... Since this resort has a casino, do we know if they ALSO have some kind of players' club thingie, whereby you register, receive some card to track your play, and then can have your play reviewed at the conclusion of your stay to get your final charge potentially reduced?? I do this routinely in Vegas and Connecticut, if I'm not already comped for my nights.

Without a doubt... Going to arrive Wednesday and leave Monday. That's why I was asking about the credits. I'll send the misses to the spa for the day and she'll be happy as a clown later that night. Not to mention that frees myself up to hit the casino hard.

any cheaper places nearby that are worth a stay to make the trip worthwhile? 500/day seems a little crazy with some of these reviews i've been reading. bringing the girl along so i get stuck with the entire bill

There a good number of other resorts and a few nice villa's right on the beach. None will compare to the Hard Rock though.
