No excuse in today's ncaa. Walk into the athlete common area and trip over tutors all over the place, this is a huge advantage over non-student-atheletes. Most tutors are fellow students and they get either community service credit or paid and some of them are pretty hot chicks.Comment -

1.) Only some type of deranged insane person would draw with shit. That sounds like something you would hear about happening on the 4th floor of the looney bin.
2.) Where is the actual evidence of this? This supposedly just happened and is what the final straw was that led to this supposed hunger strike. Yet no one whipped out their iPhone to take a picture of it for proof? There is no evidence that this even happened, only hearsay. Ok smart guy. Pulling the scholarships of students who are standing up for somethings that others are supporting would have made the situation worse. Now they could have played the games with the players NOT boycotting, but snatching scholarships would have gotten even more heads to roll than the President and Chancellor.Comment -

Everyone is NOT created equal. There were protest BEFORE the football team got involved, the president felt no pressure before that, he didn't take ANY of the students or faculty against him off the payroll or kick any of the boycotting students out of school..........so why should he take a football players scholarship for doing and supporting the same thing? Punishing one group and not the others for supporting the same thing just sounds stupid. If you are going to punish the football players fine, but fire the faculty and throw the other students out of school too.Comment -

Regular Joe accepted a job at MU, regular student decided to pay to go MU. You could punish them JUST like you want to punish the football players........but it just makes you feel better to punish people you don't feel are deserving of their power and status. The football players were the LAST to join in, the President could have whacked EVERYBODY who wanted him out before it even got to this point........But he didn't. You don't equate them. Football players are MUCH more important. Do you even live in America?
Missouri has one of the best defenses in the country and a lot of these guys are coming back. They have a freshman and soph WRs and a young OL and a freshman QB. They have big plans. You think they are going to throw it all away?
Do you think football is about educating people? This is big business and Missouri reputation. They will sell out completely to win at football in the SEC.Comment -
If all Missouri's plans come to fruition football wise they will still be sucking hind tit when it comes to having a real place at the SEC table in terms of competing with the SEC West. Do i even live America? Ha, long enough to know Missouri is and will be an after thought in terms of representing the SEC nationally. Can they win SEC east division?
