Apparently some racist stuff going on at Missouri that they felt the president did not respond to enough. Seems he got a little bit of a bad deal probably. But when you lose the football team, you are done. Football coach makes way more than the school prez. If the football team ain't happy, you get another school prez. You can get another school prez. You can't get the black boys to come to Mizzou and give the other schools recruiting material. You have to take action to protect your assets.

he didn't take action which is just as bad ... So bad that faculty was going to walk out. These players are getting paid, it's called a free education. Most schools cost at least 10 grand a year, so in my estimation many of these clowns asking the NCAA to pay them are actually getting paid 40 grand for 4 years for the privilege of playing sports. It's not the individual universities fault many players don't take advantage of what they are getting. No, they just want to complain about what they aren't getting. What they aren't getting, and what most students get, is a loan payment plan to pay of the tousands and thousands of dollars it cost them to get the same education opportunity. Why the fuk do you think they are called student athletes? That's like saying a kid that goes to intern at a multi million dollar company, with zero experience, walking up to the CEO saying well you make 500 million a year, I deserve 100 million of that because I am now part of the company, get real.

They aren't getting paid. They are making money for these professional sports teams without compensation. That's great for profits. And the more they can keep the rednecks up in arms, the more money they can make off their endured servants. It guarantees the present system. So you just get rid of your school president if he endangers the profitability of your financial assets and you get another one.

I don't think anybody really knows. You have to read too much into something you really are not interested in to find out. A few ugly incidents on campus and apparently, some wanted him to take more action than he did. He couldn't really have done anything to make too much of a difference but did not play along enough to express at least some fake concern. When the football team went out on him, he was cooked. Nobody is going to survive that.

Was in columbia for 2 months, very grey and dull place
I went to cal state too The faculty ranged from very cool people, to jerks. The cal state school system is so confusing,
some courses were worth 2 credits, some were worth 4. And a c- is a failing grade. And humanities class doesn't count for a humanities credit, stuff like that. And they don't accept credits from other states so they can make more money making students take the same course again.

Funniest thing to me about the whole thing is how the head coach just gave the administration the finger. That tells you who has the power at a Division I school where its professional football franchise is top priority. It's the AD and head coach controlling that operation.

Apparently take some sort of action to make it less prevalent at the school. He apparently wasn't all that interested which turned out to be a mistake when the football team walked out. Ir you want to profit off the blacks, you have to appease them.

If they lose to BYU, they will be. But you have to have your priorities in order, you sure as hell aren't going to beat them without your black guys so the prez has to go.

This is really not hard to understand. It is very simple. The protests meant nothing. It was the football team that was the problem. That represented the loss of potentially hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. For whatever reason, they felt it was worth taking action. Maybe they have been called n**** one too many times. What is one school president when compared to that?

Having your football team walk out would have been a disaster for Missouri. That is bottom dweller stuff. They aren't going there voluntarily. They will do WHATEVER it takes to keep the players happy and playing at Mizzou and keeping the black player pipeline open.

What exactly was the president supposed to do? You had a bunch of people in organizations like legion of black collegians and sexes other race based groups plus Ferguson protestors as mentioned by Butler himself on CNN today who have been protesting for over a year on race and then finally someone got fed up and called them a name and they went crazy....at the homecoming parade is where butlers moment came..he and others blocked the path of the president in his car and surrounded them screaming white names at him...the driver revved up the engine and when it went into gear to try and leave numbed the shin on butler who was climbing on the car...he said from that point on he'd kill ginseng if need be to get Wolfe to lose his job. I mean cmon man...a bit much. Looking over Butlers LinkedIn page he seems like an okay dude and good character who means well but I just think his priorities are misplaced as far as actually helping anyone. And ESPN ran a piece saying players white and black on the football team didn't agree but coaches told them lay low this will all blow over. Said if they were 9-0 or in contention this wouldn't have happened.Basketball team waited til the resignation to issue a state by saying they would have done something symbolic next week if needed.
