MJ is by far the best.

its not like todays NBA where u cant even play defense anymore

iverson is becoming more and more overrated

Wade is on a team that is right now sitting at .525. (42-38). Let's call it a .500 team. And that's after winning a championship with Shaq. Think the MJ Bulls had a .500 season, with MJ playing, after they won it all?

Wade doesn't make the players around him better. Lebron does. And the last time I checked basketball was still a team sport. Many good players could put up great individual numbers, but former MVP's, like Kobe or Nash, know that if they score too much the rest of the team is not functioning properly. To illustrate, Shawn Marion was excellent in Phoenix, but near invisible in Miami, where everything was set up around Wade. It's not Wade's fault. Just bad coaching.

Yes but what does one season of being a non sub 500 team mean for Lebron honestly. They have made MASSIVE moves to put good players around him. Are you telling me that with the same team that Wade has Lebron would have won 60%. I don't quite see how that is possible since every year except for one when Lebron was in the league he has been at .500 as well. So this one season where he finally has a solid team around him just like Wade had when he won it all makes Lebron better. I just can not see that at all Lebron has to do it multiple years to prove he "makes" players better. I have never seen him actually make a player better. Mo Williams this season has less in ever stat category except for 3P%, FT%, and Points, but only by .6. I can see the 3p% being a lot of Lebron with his penetration and kick out for the open look from downtown. I think the same can bee said with Wade and Cook though. Delonte West had WAY better numbers when he was with the Celtics, but then he goes to a team with a guy that makes players better and his numbers go down. I understand it looks like Lebron makes people better, but I just do not see it yet. I have faith he will get there one day, but he isn't there yet. To me if the players where switched both teams records would be similar to what they are now. I honestly think even with his size Wade has just as much skill as Lebron with the exception of better clutch play and a better mid range jumper. That puts him ahead of Lebron in this debate with me right now. Plus you can't teach defense and Wade is one of the best defensive guards in the league to never get due credit for it.

the best "pound for pound" saying is so misused pound for pound in boxing means who's the best on any weight not on a particular weight Manny Pacquaio he's really more of a featherweight but he's gonna fight at 140 pounds is ranked #1 p4p right now it means he's the best boxer on any weight from minimumweight through heavyweight so the best pound for pound basketball player of all time is still MJ

Sure, you can make the argument that all the greats (including Jordan) got away with a lot -- but Wade wears body-armor (!!!) and still has trouble leading his team to the playoffs. This year, though, my respect for him has greatly increased, as he has indeed taken his team to the playoffs by himself.

Wade's size will haunt him forever, though. He has great speed, but he won't be able to do the things Lebron does. Lebron is a one in a billion (or even ten billion) freak. Excluding Wilt (because of drastically different eras), only Magic should be in the conversation as "best ever" with Jordan. Magic was the Lebron of his day -- tremendous physical gifts AND ability. Jordan also was a physical beast -- people forget that his 6'6 SG of the day was quite big. Now 6'6 is the standard -- but 6'4 was more like the standard when Jordan dominated. Jordan probably was more of a Point-Forward (like Lebron?) -- but he played "out of position" most likely because of Scottie Pippen -- who, because he also was endowed with unique size and ball-handling skills, played the "point forward" position. In the first year without Jordan, Pippen averaged 22.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.9 steals, 1.9 three-pointers, and 0.8 blocks per game, while shooting 49.1% from the field and a career-best 32% from the three-point line. That is SICK -- imagine having that on your fantasy basketball team -- or you could just draft Lebron or Chris Paul. Given how good Pippen was, Jordan dwarfed him. It's disgusting, really, just how good, really, Michael Jordan was. Only Magic, and later, Lebron, should be in the conversation as being "just as good as Jordan." Kobe doesn't have the size -- Kobe is 6'6 -- which is standard -- and doesn't have the ball-handling (read: assists) that makes guys like Lebron and Magic disgusting.

              Just my two-cents.

Lebron is not 1 in a billion. That would mean there are 6 LeBrons on the earth right now. Try more like 1 in a 100 billion.
