onner, i only now play with wsex, pinny and matchy and my 2 locals.. that's it.. back in the days though i used to have 26 books at once.. i've been banned by or had limits lowered by a big chunk of them, but don't forget, i've been betting offshore since 92.. i've played with over 200 books.. i swear i have played at almost every book that came offshore. so it's nothing really to brag about that i've been booted by books because i have also played with clueless books who were new in the business and are no longer around. i've calmed down now.. oh, and i have been stiffed a lot.. a helluva lot.. but it's part of the business when you play with new unknown books.. stick with the big names only..

i guess this is the daily "onner suckiing nickys cokk " thread. onner, stick to what you know son and its not gambling and its not nickys gambling. onner, you should hear what some of the old timers over at nickys old home have to say about him. great guy, great story teller, great with numbers and immense knowledge of the industry, but not much of a gambler. they say he is a man who spent way too much time working books and numbers for what he got out of it. onner, back in the day, you could work the books over really good on bonuses and extras and it was much easier to scalp out some dough. not so much these days. nicky is right, you have to beat the closing lines but these days even thats not always enough. nicky is a hell of a gambler but i dont think he is lying when he says he is down for his lifetime.

How would a guy who doesn't even know and won't take the time to learn how to calculate a no-vig line be able to recognize a "good handicapper?" If you don't know the basics of handicapping, it might be a bit difficult to know what that entails...

I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is people stroking off other posters who give horrible, losing advice to people who may be looking to make money in this industry long term. It's hard enough for people starting out to find any relevant information and far worse when that information leads them astray...

There is a lot of stuff you can do with derivatives that goes beyond basic steam chasing. But I doubt Nicky does this.

Absolutely, but I don't think Nicky even knows how a point spread is derived much less how to calculate fair derivative prices upon line movement.

I play at 5dimes (and I'm up overall with them) yet I hardly consider myself "retarded".

I bet on most sports but I only bet heavily on NHL and CFL, a big bet for me is anywhere from $500 - $2500, I have bet more than $2500 a few times.
