The latest poll was taken between the 18th and 20th. Two of those days occurred after Trump’s McCain comments. Regardless, Trump not only held on to first place, he surged to 28% support. Bush came in second with just 14%. Walker came in third with 13%.

Polls reflect the names people hear the most. Means nothing right now. Only chance Trump has is an enormous fractured field in which he's the most known name. But eventually the field narrows and he can't win.

people tend to look for things that support their point of view. The anti-Trump crowd continue to be wrong. They have no shame.

When he made the comments about illegals coming across the border, people said he's finished. When Macy's pulled a few of his ties off the shelf, people said he's finished. NBC .... people said he's finished. Espn cancelled one event, people said he's finished. Nascar cancelled one event, people said he's finished. Miss America pageant, people said he's finished. McCain comments .... people said he's finished for sure this time. No way he can recover from that.

He's only gotten stronger and more popular. And all these "experts" still manage to act surprised. In fact, still today some say he's not a viable candidate and he has no chance. These biased people are standing out more and more each day now. They sound more desperate every day.

I think some of his stuff is refreshing that he's talking about shit no one else wants to tackle and he's busting on
his own guys. I don't like his attacks on people. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Saying he'll scrap trade agreements, get mexico to build the wall etc is great sound bite stuff. He's had 40% of the coverage and hour long segments on differing cable news shows. That's plenty of time to explain how you'll do stuff like change import/export agreements without having it blow up into a full on trade war.

Instead, he speaks of his deal making skills as though that's enough to reply with (it is for Costanadians apparently) - but for many people, it's not.

If he somehow spends millions/billions of his own, and wins the nomination, history will remember him as the guy who guaranteed the dems another POTUS.

He could have Fernando Valenzuela as his running mate and still would pull Romney numbers with the Latino vote.

he's doesn't just do things associated with one particular party. He could run for the dems actually. That makes him appealing. He's given money to McCain also but isn't afraid to say what a failure he has been to veterans.

I love his attacks on people. Most of us think it and say it on forums like this but Trump has the balls to say it in public. How can you not respect that?

You ain't gonna find a perfect candidate. I know you guys will continue with hair and bankruptcy comments and whatever else will catch your fancy.
