UNDER 9 Friday

I'm out with my $$ in hand. Using Matchbook, I took the under 9 before the game started at -115. At the top of the 6th I laid a small hedge on the over at +1000. My win would have been 1 unit, but now I'm guaranteed a profit... +0.85 unit if the under hits, and +0.42 if the sky falls in and the over hits. Feels good to take $$ off the table early.

Because bad things happen to good bets. Happens all the time. I get 85% of the payoff with 5/9s the time investment. An under isn't like an over... no chance you can lose an over that's already hit if some bozo hits a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs.

Look at it another way: I bought insurance which cost me 0.15 unit, which guaranteed me 0.42 unit minimum payoff. Why wouldn't you?

Yankees are great but -175 or more with this pitching match up. I will take my chance with the ANGELS best. He as their # 1 starter day one (Saunders)

I like my chances here, CC is not pitching again. Actually their worst in my mind is on the mound for Yankees. If Yankees win this one it is lights out for Angels even though they are going home.
