i have blown past a cop at 140, they cant get u if your mobbing, the crown vic's top at like 120, so not a chance for em.

got pulled over by a Grand National on I-65 when i was a teenager. i remember faintly seeing lights flashing in the grill of a car way way back in my rear view mirror and thinking "damn , someone is getting busted back there" and next i knew it was on my bumper.

Louisville Police and even the state boys used to have Grand Nationals all blacked out and supped-up, and Z-28's, Mustang LX's, Monte Carlos , etc.

Remeber going to the Carl Casper auto show and seeing the cops at their little booth with the Grand National and showing off all the mods it had and giving the specs. One cop told a story about a guy in a Vette going around 100 and he pulled up behind and the guy sped up to like 130 and he said he pulled up beside him and motioned to pull over. said something like the guy wasn't going to lose him in that car on an open highway late at night.

A red Dodge Dart on the way to Vegas 105 tops. The engine had more but the car started vibrating and there was a danger of losing control. I've pushed some rental cars to 100 on Vegas trips but the Dart holds the record.

ur right, i wouldnt test the chargers they have now either, i was once driving on the way to Wyoming,with a buddy who was driving his parents olds delta 88 maxed at like 105-110, We were in the middle of Nevada with a cooler of beer in the back seat and we had a cop in a maro coming up on us, we thought we were fked and the cop blew past us doing at least 130, but for the most part, when u see a cop with a radar on the side of the road they dont stand a chance.

148-49 in z28, 140 on fzr..75 in to the back of a big rig that was stoppd in my chevy2500, .28bac, broken neck in 4 places, 4 ribs, collapsed lung, broken top jaw, ****ed up knee and a huge pain killer addiction to this day, sad but pain killers really helped to improve my poker game, no joke alot more patient. Not to mention busting 4 teeth out and my 2 front tops were buried in my gums so deep they thought they were gone for like 2 days till they took an x-ray and I had emergency surgery to pull em down, over 30 stiches in my mouth and they lived which was crazy but were still discolored so now I have 6 fake teeth on top..

I hit 130 on my motorcycle before...touched it and went back down....you think it feels fast in a car....try it on a bike, unreal. You know you are going fast when the broken line in the middle of the highway turns solid.

No clue as my 72 skylar speedometer topped out at 125 MPH and it was buried. We did Toronto to Niagara Falls in 38 minutes. Fun trip.

i go 110 in my camry regularly on way home from casino its a 1 lane highway str8 as can be for 10-20 mile stretches i dont drive at that speed constantly but ill try to max it up and then coast til i slow down

if your referring to people saying they go 140 well your wrong again because i been faster in a car with my friend javier who has a acura TL type s which hes gone 140 in. again it all depends on lenth, if you went that speed for say 2-3 minutes yea your car would fly

Used to have a fairly large lifted Ford F-350 diesel. Did a lot of work on the engine, thing could really fly. Had it going on 40" tires with the speedometer reading 90mph once on 101 in Cali. We estimated the actual speed (thrown off by the oversized tires) to be around 130mph. Scary as hell but fun.

i loved that car. remember we named it 'Petroni' after a late bookmaker who trimmed 250 off your #. i think we ripped off sportman from MW and sold it to him and it died 3 weeks later

That bike was smooth, it was way out west on nice flat I-10, no traffic. Hell, I would go 95+ on the Honda 500 I had for a while and that was way more of a teeth-clinching experience on that thing than 125 on a Gold Wing.
