DePaul +10 @ GW
DePaul is a much better shooting team than George Washington and I love getting 10pts on a dog I think will win. DePaul gets more scoring per shot & takes way more shots than GW. That efficiency will be clutch on the road.
Eastern Washigton +4 @ San Francisco
EWU proved they can win on the road when they took down IU in Assembly Hall. EWU shoots much better than SF, and also turns the ball over much less. I like that the forwards can score down low (as well as make jump shots) as road teams need to rely on paint scores as a safety net.
Light card today and tomorrow, then a big one for Saturday. Cheers.Comment -

#181Iowa -5 vs Iowa State
Seems like defense beats offense early in the season. Iowa defense is great, their length will give the cyclones trouble. ISU's best player, Dejean Jones, suspended and will throw the offense out of whack.Comment -

#183Yes Lee, I've watched Iowa state's last few games and I would say BDJ has been more valuable that Niang. Jones hits the big time 3s that lead to momentum, or makes the great pass/assist in the turning points of games. Long and Morris are looser with the ball and don't make the big plays offensively that Dejean Jones has time and again this season.
One last thing, with the long armed defense of White and that 7foot center guarding Hogue and Niang you could expect a little less offense out of them, where the cyclones would normally want to lean on Dejean jones more.Comment -

#194Rough start yesterday, especially losing 3 bets by a combined 5.5 points was tough to swallow early on. But it all turned out well. Went 7-4 overall incl. a GB & Zona teaser I added.
One play today, teasing Villanova to -12.5 vs Temple & Butler +3.5 @ Tennessee.
Also looking at possibly EWU +9 @ Washington. If this goes to 10 I think I like it a lot.
What do you guys think?Comment -

#196Like SH to win at home, could be close to that 11pt line. Idk anything about Montana State but Wyoming is a very efficient offense and could stretch leads easily at home. GLComment -

#200Oregon State -25 vs Grambling State
I'm with you guys on this. OSU is pretty decent, had been competitive in tough games and gets their chance to put on a show tonight at home. Grambling state has the worst RPI ASM in the country. The. Worst. They're also bottom 10 in Adj Shooting %. OSU has the size advantage on Gram down low and should score with ease in the paint.Comment -

#202SMU -21 vs UIC
UIC scores a lot of their points at the FT line, however SMU does a good job of not fouling very much. On the flip side, UIC fouls A LOT, and SMU shoots FTs well. I tend to only lay this large of a spread when the home team shoots well, and SMU is top 50 in shooting %, points per shot and #65 in adjusted FG %. UIC is bottom 30 adj FG%.
SDSU @ Cincinatti under 110
Two of the most terrible offenses in all major conferences. Two stout defenses. I'll be utterly shocked if either team hits 60 on the scoreboard. Cincy coming off 55pts after two OTs vs Nebraska, and I've watched SDSU miss layup after layup and score <25 in multiple halves.
MSU-14 vs EMU
Eastern Michigan's success has come from poor 3pt shooting from opponents, while MSU has the best 3pt shooters in the country. Trice is a great defender who can D up against a very good Eastern backcourt. I'm sure Izzo made his Spartans well aware of what Eastern just did to UofM, and our boys will make sure this one isn't even close. Blowing out EMU is like a slap in the face to UofM, and they'll take that opportunity.Comment -

#205Virginia -17 vs Cleveland State
I know the cavs play slow but they still win by large margins. Cleveland st commits a lot of fouls and will send a very good FT% team to the line. Cleveland state relies on the 3pt too much and will struggle against a stout Virginia defense.
Seton Hall -5 @ USF
The Hall are a good shooting squad with Gibbs becoming a true leader. They lost a tough one to wichy state and they are just going to dominate south Florida tonight. Should be a 15 point spread.
Montana state +10 @ South Dakota
Two shitty teams. South Dakota's two D1 wins have been by a couple points. Montana state played close at a very good shooting Wyoming team. Montana state will probably win here but I'll take the points and tail fellow capper LT.Comment -
