Chargers USUALLY play Peyton and Broncos tougher than any other AFC team, but Flowers will probably miss this game because the short week probably doesn't give him time to pass the NFL concussion protocol. And Verrett was out last week and is questionable for this game. If he cannot go, then you'll have Manning passing against two backup cornerbacks. Not a good feeling for SD backers.

Denver easily has a top 3 defense in the NFL right now, last year on Thursday their D was their weak point and allowed SD to run the ball all over them. Not happening this year.

Also you can't strictly look at the Chargers passing defense numbers. Look at the quarterbacks SD has played against:

Carson Palmer (who threw for over 300)
Russell Wilson (not an elite passing team)
EJ Manuel
Blake Bortles
Geno Smith/Mike Vick
Derrick Carr (who threw for 4 TDs)
Alex Smith

Chargers D should just go ahead and lube up and bend over.
