Living in San Francisco is an experience people should have. Its a city like no other in the USA. On par with New Orleans debatably surpassing NOLA post-Katrina for uniquely interesting identity. I'm not always a fan of Bay Area folks' political intensity but I am definitely a fan of their passion and their general intelligence and cultural astuteness.

I visited Jim Thorpe's house in Oklahoma. Somewhere on the road to Stillwater. Its like all the sudden there it is really not much warning at all. They have a tour. One of Jim's kids lost an Olympic Gold Medal of his in the yard. The lady there let me look around for it but she seemed annoyed because it wasn't a time of day where tours are given but she took me through anyways (hurriedly) then she only let me look for the Medal for about 10 minutes. I didn't find it.

I actually been here for 5 years i had a basketball scholarship but Im from canada so if i didnt find a job that sponsored me this year I had to move back.

PWC is price waterhouse coopers. Its the most profitable accounting firm in the world. Really awesome job! Glad i finally found a job! Funny though it took me a while to find a job and I landed the best one I could possibly get, and now I got like 7-8 other offers from places like bridgewater associates and such

The answer is never. Some years ago I had the chance to move to the suburbs of Chicago to work at the corporate office. This would have been a huge promotion, chance to move up the corporate ladder etc. I had a few buddies from CA who made the move and they all told me it was miserable. I looked at the beach and all the other shit I have in LA and told them thanks but no thanks. Never looked back. What system would you be working at in SF?

Thx for the reply gaucho. I know you're right. More than anything I'm just disappointed it turned out like it did. I ran through what I thought was every scenario in my head prior to coming out here and the one thing I never considered was being in this position.

Ultimately , it's not a huge deal, I'll make a decision and life will go on. If nothing else , I got a free trip out of the deal

Everyone has worked at a shithole they're totally miserable at. Its a rite of passage here. You will ascend to a job you love or getting paid for doing something you love. More amazing opportunities exist in the region of SF than anywhere else on the planet except parts of China. Your destiny is unfolding in a very positive manner and the intense suffering of this miserable plague of a job will only make you stronger kraken.

Its OK to rest your head on the keyboard and weep and/or, at especially stressful times on the nightmarish hell of the job, when you're alone in the office hurl a water machine or a microwave through a window. Just locate the security cameras as soon as you arrive and you'll be fine.

Baileys is infinitely more inspiring than I will ever be. I have accepted this. All the hard drugs you do on airplanes though kraken one of these days there gonna be wheeling you off on a stretcher. I probably seem nonchalant about it now because I've been so stressed out about it for the last week. I'm comfortable with the decision. But I promise you, I've been anything but nonchalant the last week. I was born and raised in OKC. My entire life is here. And 10 years ago, my wife made a huge sacrifice when she left behind her entire life and her friends and family to come live with me. Now, I feel it's time to return that to her. She's close with her family, I'm not. Friends are friends, I'll love em as much from Seattle as much as I do here.
