I hope your right. I don't claim to know anything about prospects, I get all my info from hockeysfuture.com. But he is putting up those numbers at an advanced age (19), which isn't as impressive, right?
His numbers are impressive whether he is 17 or 19. His numbers get better each year. Take a look http://hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=96610. This kid is big and strong. Reminds me of Boston's Blake Wheeler.
This kid is the key to today's trade. You heard it here first buddy.

Keep in mind Dave that Bryan Murray drafted most of those young players. Burke just went in and tweaked the lineup and got rid of a few overpriced/overpaid players.
He did land Pronger, but Scott Niedermayer basically landed on his lap because of his brother Rob was already there and he wanted to play on the same team as him.

I was aware of tangradi puckoff, he was our 2nd round pick. I think your right that he is the key factor in this trade and whether hes a flop or not within the next year or so will decide who came out better in this transaction

I don't think he's going to be a flop Blitty. If Belleville gets beat out early in the OHL playoffs then he will be called up for either the tail end of the NHL reg season or for the playoffs.
You guys have a potential NHL power forward on your hands. Good times ahead for Pitts my friend.

Wouldn't he be more likely to go to the AHL for their playoffs?

Atta boy Blitty!!! I like you man. I like all hockey fans. I like guys who at least are willing to learn and educate themselves on the greatest sport in the world. It's too bad my great American neighbours don't embrace this fast, rugged sport. Maybe they think it's too violent. I don't know. It's takes a massive amount of talent and athleticism to play hockey at ANY competitive level. It just boggles my mind that the sport in not appreciated in America.
Hockey is so huge in Canada it's insane. For example on CBC Hockey Night in Canada (Saturday night), a Leafs/Habs game will bring in 3 million Canadian TV viewers. There's 33 million people in Canada which makes that 11% of the Canadian population tuning in to watch hockey. Per capita, I don't think the U.S. would touch these numbers for either the MLB, NBA or NFL. Well maybe the NFL, but I'm not sure. Someone can chime in here if they wish.

That's a possibility for sure. All depends on what's going on with the farm team, but yes that would be a possibility.

People have trouble following what is going on, IMO. It takes a little bit of time to get used to watching hockey. Most people don't want to invest that time.

They will most likely make the playoffs. That seems to be the most common path in most organizations.

I would probably fit right in if I moved to Canada puckoff. A well as being a huge fan, I play 4-6 times a week at 3 different rinks. Im playing in a Vegas tournament next week. If your at the bash maybe we can get a pickup game put together in Vegas...I know all the rinks there.

atta boy Blitty atta boy!!!
I might attend the bash. Not sure if I will bring my skates, gloves, stick and cup to Vegas though. I will keep the idea open though. How much does 1 hr's worth of ice time cost in your area and in Vegas?

It would be Dave. If we did this I promise I would ease up on my slap shots. I still use a wooden stick and it's lethal. I've never used a composite. I don't believe in them and think they should be banned from all levels of hockey.
Holy can you even buy hockey gear in Vegas?

I would have to inquire in about renting out the rink..but im sure we could join into a pickup game for $15-20 each. All the rinks there feature pro shops, that have all the gear for sale.
